Now that's how you improvise and make it custom just for you. Good thinking.

Great idea there y'all had with the silicone to try to dampen some of that vibration and mold it to the hand. Still have a bunch of those Cabela's arrows from years ago. Always shot well and are tough. Thank y'all for sharing and have a blessed evening.

Cabela's arrows was all I shot in my compound for year. Priced right and very tough arrows.

I have 2 longbow that look identical to yours , made by Sanlida Royal X8 and SAS (Southwest Archery Supply) Pioneer , both are 68" @ 40 lb Made my own strings out of B55 and put a bicycle inner tube on for grip , they both had manmade leather grips on them . They both shoot Great with very little hand shock !

I hear and read that Sanlida bows are great bows. I have a video coming soon on the Dragon arrows where I give them a test and these are great arrows. And for the price, WOW!

lol ;;;;;my granpa had old leather boots from when stacked around here and there;;;;had no soles anymore but plenty good leather for bow huntin equip;;;;we had wrist bands finger pads string silencers leather arrow holsters and even had several pairs of mocossains and of course head bands filled with turkey feathers;;we were real indians out on the hunt;;;;loll;;;those were the days;;;;;we didn[t have those fancy finger guards;;;;just chunks of leather off an ole boot with a couple of holes in it strategically placed for finger pulls;;;;way to go improvising for comfort and better control;;;;enjoyed;;;keep eem comin

Yes sir, sounds like you were raised like myself. It just means more to me to have something I with my own touch on it.

Now a slide on Selway Quiver will take some shock out off it.

I really don't like hunting with a quiver so I'm doing something un-traditional on my Trad bows...

Those limb tips are way to wide. That is where you are getting lots of the hand shock.

They made these old bows tuff back in the day. LOL

@@papawsplace it must have worked, also if you like longbows you can call bear archery in Florida and buy a blem bow for half off almost, I bought a bear 59 recurve for 460.00 delivered to my door, I would look for a flame Montana bear longbow blem , they are bamboo and faster, might get a blem for 300.00
