It looks great. Good bet it's lightning fast. I too like the challenge of trying to control a powerful bow.

Yeah. I'm waiting for 200 spine arrows. Once I get and test them, I'm hoping to do a speed test of the YMG and CJG which is much overdue. Might also redo the Majesty for a baseline. Need dry weather, not too sunny and little to no wind.
@mrln247
@mrln247 12 күн бұрын
@KTBIOM The weather has been repeatedly awful. I would say don't rush into doing speed tests although you do look to have been pulling it with confidence.
@KTBIOM
@KTBIOM 12 күн бұрын
@mrln247 Yes it has been recently. I was getting some sideways arrows with the CJG and actually hid a vane on the chronograph bending it. Hoping I can improve my release and experiment with stiffer arrows to get better flight. It will take some time, as seen with the CJG but will happen. Maybe in the spring.

Nice looking bow and it seems to perform well, happy new bow! Just curious as to why you use such high poundage bows. Not a criticism - just interested. I mainly shoot "Clout" (180yds) and 30 to 35# is plenty with my Korean bows using wooden/carbon arrows. Back in the 90's I damaged my shoulder by using heavy bows and have seen many archers have similar problems.
@KTBIOM
@KTBIOM 12 күн бұрын
@@johnf3f810 I get a real buzz out of it. The more effort I put in, the more enjoyment I get. Could be a dopamine thing. It's been a steady progression. With each bow, I've gone up in weight, and each one has felt more satisfying than the previous one. For me, it's not accuracy or hitting the target that is fun. If it was I might as well shoot a crossbow or compound. For me, I like to be able to shoot a bow, with all my body, at a boss, without breaking any arrows. I'd rather have a 12" group, than a 3" group, to minimise breaking arrows. I do it for fun. I also don't want to injure myself. I am learning technique too. It's not just about strength. sites.google.com/view/beyond-strength/home#h.p_ZRotrVkXU_kt Over here there is no clout, so I shoot short-ish distances, and I prefer a flat trajectory that higher poundage bows provide. Sorry to hear about your injury. It's a real concern to me, as I don't want to have to stop archery.

Congratulations on the new bow Can't wait for your progress videos. I've just started Asiatic archery and was curious about the leather device on your draw index finger. Is it a finger protector of some sought?
@KTBIOM
@KTBIOM 11 күн бұрын
@@robertclarke7807 Yes. It was a freebie added to the Cheonjigung order by Ace Archery. I hadn't thought about this but my index finger was getting sore from string twist. I'll do a quick review next weekend and show what it is and how it looks. Quite simple to make with the right skills / tools.

The guard protects this area and my hand is now back to normal.

Hello, I have been enjoying your content for a while now, and I have grown more invested in Korean style bows because of it 🙂. I'm currently saving for my next purchase, which is a step up from what I currently own. Currently, I have my eyes on the SMG, Cheonji, and Monarq. Which of the bows in your collection offered you the most pleasurable shooting experience? Also, in your opinion, which would you recommend overall? I hope you have a wonderful day, thank you.
@KTBIOM
@KTBIOM 12 күн бұрын
@@ReignXp SMG are not the same as they used to be. Cheonji is good but tricky to get. Knowing what I know now, and if I could only had one bow, I'd just have the Daylite Majesty. They're relatively affordable, Daylite delivers fast, they have good pedigree, and a good after sales warranty for peace of mind. The Monarq has a good reputation and I would recommed it as a first Korean bow.

Thank you for answering my questions. I like hearing about these bows as I have become very interested in these koerean bows and thumb draw. I have always shot traditional and have a few longbows and recurves. What nock do you use on string? Brass or tie your nocks?

@KTBIOM
@KTBIOM 11 күн бұрын
@@wannabearcher5680 My understanding is that Dr Duvernay sources YMG to sell under his brand Hwarang. www.hwarangarchery.com/ He was the only way of getting a YMG outside of Korea for a while. I think in the past he also sold SMG as Hwarang. As such other than cosmetics YMG and Hwarang are just as good.

You can't. Website is domestic only. You need to email Mr Kim. Use the email at the foot of the page and send him a screenshot of your order options. Other issue is that you need to pay with a direct bank transfer.
