Ah, you have an HST. I have a Shuttle and my PTO is 21.5 HP. 5foot brush hog cuts like butter. Great video! Thanks.

Good info Eddie like your video. I have a Mahindra 3016 witch is I think 28 hp just a little bit more than yours. Your write about blowing screen and all out ,one of most important things to stay on top of. I use an Ego electric blower on mine

I need a tractor and I heard, like you said, get one with a front end loader. And 4x4 if possible. I was leery of Mahindra just because I knew one guy that farmed and ran equipment all his life. He was probably in his early 40s and got a Mahindra. He was missing one day and his family found him dead and the tractor still running down in a wash. The tire apparently ran him over. His brother thinks it might have been the E brake. He said all their other tractors had the parking brake on the right side and the mahindra was on the left side. This was only a guess but he thought maybe his brother knocked off the brake getting off the tractor and then it rolled over him. Maybe he never set it. Will never know. My sister's husband bought a new mahindra and had it for several years but it just didn't have the power. The bucket would not lift as much as he thought it should. He is older than me and farmed all his life. So he finally traded it in on a John Deere and loves it. For me, anything would be better than a shovel, which is all I have. LOL We are on 27 acres and no tractor. So I have to hire bush hogging and trade out hay baling. But I don't need the hay so that works out okay. Sorry for the long comment Eddie. Take care buddy.

The only con to this tractor (for me) is it's little under powered PTO. The loader lifts better than my brothers 3032 John deer but his PTO has more HP for bush hogging.

My old john Deere is a 1973 model, but it was made in Germany very easy to work on I have a 6-foot bushhog what I go over it will cut. Have a great week.

Our local Mahindra dealer closed down recently, and any other dealer is about an hour away, and those dealers are YTM, Bronson, and Mahindra dealers, not really specific to any tractor brand.
@papawsplace3 ай бұрын
Here, John Deere is the most popular tractor due to more local dealers/mechanics.

By the way Eddie if you had a shuttle shift or gear machine you would gain a little extra power, just saying

Radiator is more than adequate. Need to blow the screen out more often. Personally, i try to bush hog right after it rains. Keeps debri down tremendously.

@@papawsplacepersonal preference I suppose. I see no reason. An additional hydraulic cooler like on the hydro would be nice.
