Thanks for the video. It was very helpful. I do have a question. I notice water in my pressure gauze. I've order a replacement. Is ok just to switch them off or is there something more i should do.

Just turn your power off, close all valve (Plug B Ports) and then change it out. Make sure to only hand tighten because it's plastic and you can strip the treads easily.

@@papawsplace do you know what skimmer you have specifically? I got the Deluxe Intex Skimmer and it won’t hook over the rails because of its oval shape. I have the Coleman 22x52. My pool looks like yours but it has portholes, I don’t know if the size may make the difference of the rails. Thank you!!

Look in the description of this video and there is an Amazon Link. This Skimmer did not fit my rail perfect but I got it to clamp tight and stay in place. It's made for by Intex so it probably fits all intex pools.

Does my pump have to be at a certain height? Water is still pouring into it even when I unplug it. I believe it has to do with the height of the hoses/pump but not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have it on one layer of cinder block. Same exact pool as you. I'm desperate here lol.

I'm not sure what you mean by, Water is still pouring into it. Water is always gonna be in the pump even when its not running.

@@papawsplace my pump is overflowing when I unplug it. It doesn't leak when sand filter/pump are on, runs great. When I unplug the pump water starts leaking out, like alot of water from the pump, not sand filter & keeps coming & coming until I finally just unhooked the B port hose from the pump & put it into the pool. I wish I could attach pics =(

Wherever the water is coming out, it has to be something not sealed correctly or something has cracked. Is it coming out where the top (the part with the valve handle) sets on top of the sand tank? If so you may need take it apart and see if the O ring is broke or if something has a crack in it. If this is not a new pump it may have froze this winter and cracked.

@@papawsplace it's a new pump & sand filter. No leaks at all when it's on. Only when I unplug it. That's why I wondered if it was possible gravity played any part. I do have the filter & pump on 1 row of cinder block & hoses are just hanging on the ground. I tied up my B hoses like yours were to keep them straight but they are still just going to the ground. The leaking is coming from the clear lid thingy on the pump not the sand filter. I checked the Oring & everything seems fine. Zero leaks when it's running, PSI is great, everything works right until I unplug it. It seems like it's filling up with water & then water is continuing to come in from the pool & has nowhere to go. It's really weird & I have very little experience with this so I don't know what's going on. I don't want to run my pump continuously but when I cut it off I've got water dripping out =( Thank you for trying to help me!! I love your channel & your property is so gorgeous !

I also made sure the white basket thing is facing the right way like you said in your one video with the notch toward the front. Idk what in the world's going on lol. Today the leaking wasn't as bad as yesterday but still I hate wasting water like that =(

Why not build your deck on the side of the pump?

You very well could, but I choose not to, that would block access to my cooking area. And I did not want my pump under my deck so when it comes time to service the pool I would have to get under the deck. But a person can turn the pool and/or build the deck at any position that's best for their setup. Thanks

I have mine on a timer. 4 hours on 4 hours off around the clock. I just got a simple plug in timer you can get from Amazon, Home Depot or Lowes.

How often do you backwash your pool?

I've never had to backwash because it need it. I would only backwash when the pressure stated to rise on the gauge. I have backwashed but it was only to make a video.
