Permanently remove that tiny clip under the plastic cover, after that removing the feed unit takes about 30 seconds (2 screws), and no need to touch the LCT or the plastic covers anymore. I suspect you are following the Service Manual, nothing wrong with that as well, just takes a bit longer. Regardless of how it is done, thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience.
