Paper Mache Hand! Easy Tutorial

Make a realistic human hand with a simple paper mache technique (just newspaper applied with glue on an armature. NOT pulp or clay). You only need: wire (2.0 gauge), old newspapers, mask tape and wood glue.
Make a hand like this, paint it if you like and you can use it as decoration or even as a prop to show jewellery.
Easier than it looks!
Enjoy!

Tip no 1: It is much easier than it looks Tip no 2: You can chose to make more slender or pointy fingers for a more expressionistic or fantasy result Tip no 3: you can paint it over (I painted one of them white, the other I couldn't chose color...) And a note: if you make rings or bracelets you can use it as a prop to show them. Enjoy!

What mm thickness of wire is this? I have a big project and don’t want to buy anything more thick than I need.
@babongababonga9588
@babongababonga9588 3 ай бұрын
@@DavidTanisDreams It is definitely more than 1.00 mm. That means either 1,20 or even more. It is cheap galvanized wire with no packaging information, bought from a hardware store.

@babongababonga9588 Жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly, about 3 mornings. One morning for the armature and very rough features, another for the paper mache layers and a third morning for the details. As you see I didn't paint them really because it would have taken even more time.
