I think my favorite part of these videos is when you take the paint off the eyes. Your sculptures come to life after that. Love it, thank you for your point of view and talent.

And I made the hands already and I hate to brag ...but I'm showing everyone I see haha they turned out so creepy and cool! Hi Zane. Sounds like you are having fun! Glad to hear it. I use paper clay once in a while when I want something cement-like. That's the problem with the stuff. It gets hard as cement. And I hate sanding. Still, you can make some great projects with it. Have fun! Dan

Hey man! I know you get this a lot, but your work is simply awesome. I have some simple questions to make, but in case you're too busy to help, I'd take help from any kind soul. What is that tape you use? It looks so "elastic" and makes the whole thing look so flawless. And how do you manage do cut it open and remove the paper from the inside? Is it because of the water and flour mixture? Thanks!

Hello Arthur. Glad you like my work! I just use masking tape. Nothing exotic. When the paper mache shell is dry, the wads of paper inside can be just pulled out. That leaves a light, strong shell to use for sculpting. Dan

GourmetPaperMache Thanks a lot! I'm 17 and I've been working on some things since december, and with your tips I'm really looking forward to improving my work. I just wanted to say that I was watching your videos again and your Sea Dragon is one of the most majestic creatures I've ever seen. Keep up with the fantastic work, you are awesome. Thanks again!

+Batlifee .s Thank you for the comment! I used paper mache with my students many years ago. We made monsters so that it would guarantee success (no one could say that it was wrong). I just like fantasy creatures. Not sure why. Take care Dan

Hello Ciprian. I add a "skin" of cloth (bed sheets) dipped in white glue. It is great for details and makes the project strong. Dan

How long did it take for this to be made (from start to finish)? Thinking of doing this for a class project but I do not know if it's possible with my deadline.
