I used a map when I rode. Just point the vehicle in the general direction and go. Then pull over and look at the map when you do not know where you are, or lost. Get your bearing, point and go.

Have not used a physical map in years. These days I just use the map on my iPhone. Found it helpful in avoiding traffic jams.

The latest vacation my wife and I took, in a car, she really wanted to have a paper map. She got one for each state we were going to. I actually enjoyed having the paper map in addition to our phones. At one point going through Pennsylvania we had zero cell signal, so having a paper map really helped.

When I’m going on long trips I use google maps but also have paper maps that I look over every night at the motel. Use a app gas buddy for finding gas. Great job keep em coming 👍🏻🇺🇸

I use Butler maps (water-resistant paper) which are specific for motorcycling. Worth every penny

Well, when I was a kid…. I used mapquest. Sometimes the printer worked, other times it didn’t. And if there was an unexpected road closure, good luck! Nowadays I use google maps for straight through destinations, can’t stand Apple Maps. For rides, I really like Riser so far. Has it quirks but overall it plans out a good ride.

In my younger days (lol) I had a tank bag with a clear map pocket. Still using google maps to get around most of the time. Earlier this year I picked up Rever, Still trying to figure that out. May just end up with a stand alone GPS.

Great video I like to use both I have this thing about stopping a rest areas in other states and getting the free maps. I found this drives the wife BAT SHIT CRAZY, because I don’t throw away the old ones.I have them stuffed in all the free space I find . This has now become a game to test her Tolerance. Lol

Yes Apple Maps has an option to look for gas station. Don’t figure gas stops or hotels. Play by ear as we go

Dude! I just use the GPS on my bike, and if that fails me, I navigate by the position of the sun in the sky. If it's cloudy or at night, I just get lost and wait until the morning, feeding off the land until daybreak.

Its funny. Great at using maps and grid coordinates. Have a buddy who's son is in the Army and went through what use to be PLDC they have a new name. You would get tested on land nav skills apparently nope no more because of map apps 🤣 long story short im a Google maps user
