I like how the theme starts kinda serious then it quickly turns into something more playful, it's like not even the general can contain himself so he just gives in to the childish silliness of the shy guys/toy box.

This is easily the best level in all the Mario RPGs, hilarious enemies, tons of platforming elements and secrets. Boss wasn't hard, but it was creative and a lot of fun.

It was quite hard for me when I played this game. I don’t think my attacks were super powerful, but his were. Even after breaking the light bulb, I often had low hp, but eventually I did it.

I never saw the shy guys' arm raising as a Nazi salute. As a kid, I always interpreted that gesture as the salute that gymnasts do to judges before performing, since the attacks followed by it were always acrobatic.

Dr. Earthworm Robotnik me and my mom always did that because we thought thats the only way to defeat him , but i may note that we both didnt use charge and the multiple jump thingy ( power dauz orden in the german version )

That's kinda the point, though. Shy Guys are meant to be happy, with their dancing around and acrobatic attacks, and that while the beginning shows an attempt to be in line and strict, it goes back to their fun-loving nature in the end.

@marioshugefan In fact, when we fight that guy without watt, he could be very though. Especially at the moment when you are out of PF. Also, shy guys are the most charismatic people in the entire Mario's series. What are the other bosses in that game ? Teenage mutant ninja turtles without power, a big stupid goomba, a... lava plant ? A cristal guy (ok, he is nice). A... cloud? So, with the other bosses of the game, a shy guy, general, with his army and a tank is fucking awesome.

I loved the Shy Guy's Toy Box level and this boss. The developers really wasted an opportunity in Color Splash to let all these Shy Guys make a comeback, considering that game is pretty much infested with Shy Guys. General Guy could have been a recurring antagonist or something.
