This is why I love RPGs. The sense of progress! I remember being 10 years old sitting in my bedroom getting to this final fight. Remembering nothing but the brutal beating Mario took from Bowser at the beginning of the game. Now, we are here, I am just about evenly matched with him. It’s the true definition of a titanic showdown!

Paper Mario may have not had a plot quite like Super Paper Mario or TTYD, but what it lacked in plot it made up for in CHARACTER. The game itself was just so unique and vibrant, and every single party member and npc was so full of life. I prefer TTYD, but you can't quite match the way Paper Mario did things.

I loved this game so much as a kid, this part of the game gave me chills the song is so badass!! I remember I was home bored one-day and my mom car home from work on her lunch break and all of a sudden asked me if I wanted a N64 so I said "yes!!!" we went to Wal-Mart and I picked out the Ice Blue N64 and I picked out two games which were The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time & Paper Mario 64. I played those games soooo much I was never bored after that. I cried after I beat both games and I soon learned that good things do come to an end eventually and have became a part of my childhood.

But paper Mario was the best & I love the thousand year door. Fighting the undead Dragon in 100 pits was amazing & the legend of Zelda the Ocarina of time was epic the final battle is always so epic.

Arguably the hardest final boss in the series. Even though it says Bowser has 100 hp, the bastard can heal himself by around 30 hp 7-8 times. Thats about 340 hp. And not to mention he has an invincibility period that requires you to sacrifice a turn to get rid of. Bowser is one tough cookie to crack and I can't tell you how frustrating it was the first time I played the game. But goddammit I love it.

timburg42 he can actually only heal him self 30 health 3 times in the entire fight. thats an extra 90 health but if u stay at low health through out most of it (using repel gels or bow out of sight) he wont heal, so just charge up the jump and then kill him in one turn with the jump thing (cant remember the name) but i loved this fight and the song

No, Bowser stole the Star Rod, which is explained to be a powerful wish-granting object guarded by the Star Spirits. Each chapter has its own sub-plot, there are interludes each chapter, and Sticker Star just has some generic party with a crapload of generic Toads, and Bowser (without any of his awesome personality from the first three games) just barges in and gets shiny with royal sticker. Then he kidnaps peach. Paper Mario at least HAS story to it. Sticker Star has little to no plot at all.

Best game ever omg. When i played it on Nintendo good times. Now i replayed it on Wii from the Wii shop. Love how the game is actually challenging and its not easy like almost every game. Awesome adventures, hard battles, very nice story line with some humor to it. This was my childhood.

Paper Mario 64 had a plot on each chapter, like kooper got his shell stolen, and that there is a lost ruin on the desert, but the boss battles and the music are cool and great. I will give Paper Mario 64 an A/B+ because their are different plots in the game, but the characters have a very good personality (Exept for the partners, which most of them have the same character on them) And Bowser's plan was the biggest (The second is making his own universe in SMG 1 and 2) But for Paper Mario: TTYD, the game is kind of the same game like PM, but with a different characteristic, which makes it a improvement for the first game. The bosses are cool, and the storylune is still the same, but with new characters from the first game. I will give it a A/B+ too, because it has the same stats, like the first game; still cool. Super Paper Mario, it kind of takes it to the worse limit. The plot is amazing, much like the first and second game, EXEPT, the bosses are too easy, and you CANNOT REDO THE BOSSES (The only option is to start over the game) plus, it's the same thing, like stomping a goomba. I would give SPM a C+ because of the gameplay, but the story is cool, the entire game is more like a maze, because the levels are so hard. Paper Mario: Sticker Star, has a very unknown and empty plot on it. The characters are cool, but the plot is kind of kicking it off the good bar. I don't have it, but I do know the story and plot, exept that it has a weird feeling on it. I would give it a D+ for Nintendo to try to make their best on the game, but did a nor little mistakes, just like Capcom did with Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor. So, what do you think?

I really did like the plot of this game quite a bit. It conveyed that even in the most dire situations (bad guy appears to be indestructable and is able to grant his own wishes with a powerful artifact) hope still lingers (Mario and his partners finding a weakness and winning the day) It actually took a typical day in the life of Mario with saving the kingdom from Bowser but added more depth to it. All the bosses and other characters each had personality. Each of the bosses were very memorable. A cowardly goomba made a king because he begged Bowser to grant him power, a group of 4 Koopas that are all gangster and full of talk, a crazed wannabe desert king with a huge ego, a dimwitted giant who is supposedly indestructable but in reality is a wuss, a militant Shy Guy general who loves toys, a giant Piranha Plant with a speech impediment, a nasty sky lord that controls the weather, a mysterious spirit of ice that lives in a mansion of mirrors, and those are just the main bosses. What about that little guy who you fight as your first boss fight near Goomba Village. You defeat him then he constantly persists in fighting you all throughout your adventure because he refuses to lose. Even the side characters I had fond memories of. Jolly Kolorado always made me laugh with his witty yet reckless behavior. I really enjoyed this game. It amazes me they took a generic Mario plot which in most circumstances is rubbish but they added their own touches to it and made it into something great. Then the sequels came out and the plots in those were original and even deep at times. Not of course counting THAT game. 3DS game is NOT A PAPER MARIO GAME.

The original and true Sticker Star is this game. All they did with the 3DS game was they took this legendary game and threw it into the meat grinder until there was no true Paper Mario left in it. Sure the graphic style was there but it played nothing like a Paper Mario game. I don't consider Sticker Star canon. Super Paper Mario was the most recent mainstream Paper Mario. Sticker Star was a spin off.

I dunno, Bombette had her charm, Watt was original to the series and the fact that you get letters for all of them is pretty cool too. Save for Koops, your partners in TTYD had no real friends and family at home. Then again, Vivian is such a great character design and the rest of the characters in TTYD have such charm. The only issue is that they feel a bit copypasta'd from Paper Mario at times. And Admiral Bobbery... heartwrenching. Truly a great character.

I think the best final boss theme of Paper Mario games is Dark Queen's, because it has a very long loop, and it's very grim and expressive! Then there is my second favourite: Super Dimentio! Too epic! :-D

My strategy was always smooch when he raised his HP and use Watt's damage boost and spam power smash. No charges because his star rod attack takes away buffs
