I must say, even though this game could've been 1000x better, I still enjoyed it. The soundtrack was awesome, the core game-play was fine, the locations and environments were fantastic. It almost feels like an old Nintendo 64 game. Even though the story did not have the depth of SPM and the partner battle mechanics of the 1st and 2nd games, I felt that it was a fresh spin on the franchise. This game looks visually charming in a sense. I guess my experience with the game was far different from other peoples. For me it really reminded me what games were about, fun. Story is nice, but a games style and game-play is what really makes it shine. Take Super Mario Galaxy for example, not a insanely in-depth story, besides Rosalia's backstory. But, her backstory seemed more of an extra. However, SMG game-play and style is where it really shined. Thats why it was nominated game of the year many times by many review sites, and is in a lot of people's top 10 games list. i know this game is no SMG, but it does keep the same core belief that video games were meant to be fun. Overall, I had a blast playing this game. :)

Zaylok There’s a game show stage, a minecart level, a haunted mansion, a dark and poisonous forest, a YOSHI SPHINX(how have they never thought of that before), a hidden oasis, the inside of a volcano, etc. Pretty interesting to say the least, you don’t see that in NSMB.

Here are some tips when fighting Bowser. First phase : Use Tape, Thumbtack, or Stapler to lock those enemy doors. Second phase : Hit the Whomp with any Eekhammer and then cut it with any Scissors-type sticker. Third phase : Freeze the Podoboo with any water or ice sticker except Soda and Squirt Gun. Fourth phase : Counterattack the Chain Chomp with the Tail sticker. Fifth phase : Good luck!

I just noticed something, and it's a VERY small detail. I first saw it when looking at Bowser's sprites for PMSS on Spriter's Resource. When he finishes his shell attack, look closely at his sprite as he gets out of his shell. (Once his whole body appears) Before he lands on the ground, his spikes look like they did in 64, TTYD and SPM (they don't have a "base") ...Pretty small detail I know, but I just wanted to point it out. :D

Actually, by winning battles in this game, you get coins. You use coins to buy stickers. More stickers means more attack power. Just like the other Paper Mario games where you get EXP by winning battles, using EXP to level up then gaining more attack power.

The only problem is you get Stickers all over the place and they respawn so you can first strike enemies to get Coins then but then run away so you don’t use any stickers. Also Coins are all over, and you can have over 2000 UselessCoins without doing a single battle in the entire game. Better to just only do Boss Fights.

Here are my complaints: there is no more character variety, nobody has personality, I had to look half the puzzles off the Internet, almost all the bosses are basically impossible unless you have a specific 'thing', no exp, I shouldn't have to call some of the puzzles "puzzles" because I mostly was just searching level to level like an idiot trying to find special things, and the battle system is a disaster.

There was barely any story and there were no stats, so the bosses had to be defeated by a certain sticker that you probably haven't even made. The game is hard not for good reasons, but because for some reason they had to make the puzzles almost impossible and with no logic, I only solved the puzzles from sheer luck. Also, the only other Paper Mario game I've played is Super Paper Mario, so little bias. *But hey, THAT'S JUST a*--forget it.

I think that you'll have to wait until the Whomp lands on the ground. Then you can use the Scissors. Or alternatively you can just use a few Jump attacks to deal 3 damage to it every turn. Also at the Chain Chomp part, it's best to wield a Tail sticker, then when the Chain Chomp attacks, swing the tail, then it will knock Bowser down.

The gameplay elements are unique, but the themes and story feel like NSMB. The dialogue is still funny and there are also some random surprise factors here and there. Also, besides an 'achievement' system and a sticker museum, there isn't a lot about replay value in this game, as you cannot replay boss battles (besides the final boss) or stuff like that.

Dude, this game really is underrated. I mean, I LOVE The Thousand Year Door, its actually one of my favorite games, but this is still not a bad game. It has its own charm, some challenging puzzles and a damn good soundtrack, its a good game! I actually like it more than SPM, though I can agree the first Paper Mario games are better.

The problem with it isn't that they tried something different, or even the fact that the main gimmick was this time within the battle system. It's the fact that they didn't also take what was originally great with it, which is what sequel always should be doing. Miyamoto even said that originally this was halfway like a "port" of ttyd, and he wanted it scrapped, which sucks. Imagine the new battle system, while also having the charm of partners, unique bosses, etc. It could have been that.

And music? SS has really good music, and if you payed attention to the levels, you could tell that the creators had a lot of fun with it. Now personally I've loved every entry in the Paper Mario series, and I couldn't say which one was better because I loved different things about each one. But I don't think you should worry so much on how a game may outdo or not so much and just enjoy the experience they provide :) No need to sweat the small stuff, this is an industry about entertainment :D

Three things, if it was up to me I would’ve used the eek hammer on the womp so it would fall down, then I could attack the weak spot with some hopslippers. Also for the fight with the podoboos I would’ve done the boom box, shaved ice, and bat in that order so that all the attacks are doubled. Finally I’m surprised a lot of people don’t realize that the Kirsty spinner is automatically going to match all three no matter when you stop it.

Heck in my opinion the most goofy Bowser ever got was Mario World so it's really just a matter of presentation and taste. I do understand wanting him to be more serious when he's the main villian but the problem is Sticker Star itself is not a very serious game so making a more serious Bowser is actually a clash to the rest of the game.

Ahh, you are new here. You see in Paper Mario games, when finished with the final level, it reverts you back to your last save before the level with "100 percent completion". This is so you can replay the stage and previous stages. If you beat Bowser you couldn't replay him or play any other level because his croonies are gone. This is how it works in every Paper Mario.

The easy way: 1.) Use tape/stapler/tack to block doors. 2.) Eekhammer to knock Whomp down then use any scissors to insta-kill it. 3.) Cold attack to freeze fireballs then fan to knock them all into Bowser. 4.) Tail to knock Chomp into Bowser.

Why everyone hates this game: It's got different mechanics and always references paper, it was better when it just looked like paper but they felt like it! Also the game is badly programmed even though it's the first time they did a different battle and story line approach. (Hey, look. The past games were good because they knew how things worked, and this was the first time they programmed something like this, hell, I could say it was near the 3DS launch date. I could.) Surprisingly, Paper Jam doesn't get the hate for the paper characters always referencing their-selves as paper.

Reasons I dont like sticker star: 1- There wasn't much to explore. 2- The concept was too classic, unlike TYD. 3- There was a lack of characters. 4- There weren't any partners. 5- Bosses were either too easy or too hard. 6- You have to collect stuff to attack, and you are defenceless if you run out. 7- KAMEK TURNZ STIKERZ 2 FLIPFLOPZ!!! 8- There were no memerable moments unlike other games. 9- Crown thing is useless until you kill it. 10- I got rid of the game for how terrible the final boss is.

Sometimes when you're a hero, pretty much all you need is a magic scrapbook and a partner to help you out along the way, no need to throw random so-and-sos into the mix. 4. See 3 5. It truly depends on how prepared you are really...For example, if you bring only hammers to the boss in world 2, you're pretty much screwed. 6. Actually a nice example of making do with what you find, the unprepared are doomed to fail. 7. Kamek is pretty much a weakling with/(on) a stick, having to turn your arsenal into near useless flip-flops only further proves that. I never hated a change of pace for a game, but with paper mario sticker star, its a whole different topic. This game is remotely easy IMO, the fights are boring and repetitive, it has practically no story, dumbed down the free world aspect of why this Mario RPG is such a hit, and bowser didnt even have a personality or something that defined him, unlike previous installments like TTYD, where you could literally play as him for a while.

I love the Paper Mario series, but this game reeks of disappointment. What happened to the unique characters and the excellent stories of the first three installments? What happened to the battle system from the first two games? I was so happy that they returned to this format, but the game itself is just too bland and generic for me to enjoy it as a "Paper Mario" game.

4 to 5 Infinjumps + 20 *More if you fail at blocking the fire.* Iron Jumps. (Eekhammers could work as well.) Slots for 2 attacks *3 if lucky.* Use Infinjumps, cutscene plays, use another Infinjump, one arm breaks, use another, other arm breaks, then Iron Jump/Eekhammer to finish it. It might be possible to do it with only Infinjumps given if you time the slots correctly. Otherwise the minimum damage is 400+ HP before attacking the head given you time 400 jumps correctly.

The Piplup Crusade That's my favorite paper Mario game. Mainly because of the dialogue, characters, story, music and dark and emotional elements. The gameplay was fun too. I've always been more of a fan of platforming games.

Typical that Bowser is the main villain. One of the greatest things about Super Mario RPG was how Bowser had to not only fight with the good guys, but he really did well to embrace it. SMRPG proved Bowser really had a heart under there.

I do, however, like the quirkiness and interesting 'Things' that can be found in the game. If the storyline attempted to incorporate stickers and Things more, I think it would've been overall a more exciting experience. That, and of the 64 things in the game, you only end up needing 20 or so.

Why worry about that? Er what SS has that TTYD does not? Why do they have to beat each other? Can't the games exist together? The original paper mario created this paper world. TTYD went with a more Japanese RPG route with it's Original worlds and characters. Sticker Star on the flipside, put more of a focus on the fact that the world is made of paper, and thus the sticker focus came.

Now I overall enjoy this game but this is a bad boss fight. The amount of stickers weaknesses you're supposed to have are ridiculous. There's no way to know you'll need all those stickers before this fight so you have to do each segment one at a time. Which really sucks.
