If we’re already talking Mario RPGs post Sticker Star, I think Paper Jam is probably the worst Mario RPG ever. The battle system is the same as ever, that’s _fine,_ but literally everything else was compromised. No interesting story, no cool locations(there aren’t even any interesting landmarks), no variety, and way too many toad rescue missions. NOTHING about this game is original. *Sticker Star was better.*

GamingPerson2046 In Dream Team, Bowser blew up an island. In Sticker Star, he made an entire forest poisonous. Bowser doing bad things isn’t new. The story might’ve had fun moments, but if the premise is generic, the whole story is. and the Papercraft Battles are weak compared to the Giant Battles. They’re basically a waste of time.

I did like the game, as the new mechanics it presented, the story (I wasn´t knowing what to expect from the game as being my first Paper Mario), the levels (and music), bosses (one unic thing about the game is that you could fight them without an especific order the Megasparkle Bosses), and as because of that, I completed the game as much as I could and by playing by the different ways. The darkside is that I´ve lost the phisic game, and I´ve been trying to find it during these months, so it may looks like I´ll never be able to end my file where I tried to complete the game without receiving damage.

I hope the new Paper Mario game coming out finally adds back an exp system so like fighting enemies has more of a point again like come on even Super Paper Mario had a exp system it wasn't perfect but it worked ok. Like considering we have partners coming back I think the EXP system should too

No the confetti represent the exp like you need the confetti for progress so fight enemies have an point and the battle sistem is awesome

I had this impression that considering it’s a 3DS game, I don’t believe it should be criticized the same way the Wii U and Switch games look. It seemed like a portable version of paper Mario with flaws of course and certainly not a great game. But I just remember when I got it, I was just excited to have paper Mario on a portable system

Most of this game's bosses are just slightly harder normal enemies. Edit: Also, the game tries to make you care about Kersti at the end when she sacrifices herself, but she was just a jerk throughout the whole game and was overly annoying.
