Hey look, they added a Heart Block in the Pit of 100 Trials entrance.

That honestly was the most convenient place to put a heart block, and yet they somehow for whatever reason didn't put one there in the base game when it really should have been. No more having to go on foot all the way to the inn's second floor for a healing before taking another crack at the pit.

Still night as well be free because you tent to make more than that on the first 10 floors of the pit, which is the soonest you can leave. The save block there is also convenient. There is one just outside here right by the thousand year door itself, but you have to do a little but of platforming and paper airplane action to reach there, so it takes like half a minute. This is way more efficient.

Tell me you grew up after the gamecube came out, without telling me. Like, I was playing this game like 20 years ago, and I've been waiting so long for them to remake it. I'm so glad I got to live up to see the day that they did bring this back. It looks amazing, the action commands are back, the style of the game is back, the companions are back, the awesome badges are back. Amazing bosses, and the Characters, each one, brough something totally new to the game. Now I get to relive it all over again, and I've never been so happy to give someone my money.

What I love most is that new fans are going to experience some top teir opponents/villains in this game, because this game by FAR had the most well rounded designed and written foes in the entire series! Everyone you come accross is memorable, and that is not something you find in games often. The Shadow Sirens, Rawk Hawk, The funny sheet ghost (won't say his ;) name), etc! The designs are the best in the series no doubt. I still can't believe this game exists! 🤘📕

I'm hoping for a new adventure in the series if that happens. when they remastered Superstar Saga for the 3DS it was fine but what inspired them to remaster Bowser's Inside Story before Partners in Time on the 3DS? You could already play the DS version on the 3DS. This pointless remaster led to the bankruptcy of AlphaDream, so no Mario & Luigi Games so far. But with them returning to their roots with the remaster of Super Mario RPG and picking the best Paper Mario for a switch Remaster, TTYD, I'm hopeful we will see the Mario & Luigi series continue... Just don't make it Sticker Star/ Color Splash/ Origami King levels of bad...

@@mikegalbraith9999there’s two trouble center quests for the pit, so what i do is do the first trouble along with the first 50 floors and the strange sack after finishing chapter 4 and having vivian’s fiery jinx for a solid multitarget attack, then come back before or after chapter 8 to do the second pit trouble while finishing up the rest of trouble center requests

Twilight Princess is on 3 systems. These other games are stranded on the GameCube with no other official way to play them, so they need remakes/ports more.

Alternatively, I wonder if it could either be just an extension to the normal battle theme to make it less repetitive on loop, or after around halfway through the game, they may switch to this theme (recently it’s been kinda common for JRPG’s to have a new, more intense battle theme as the player progresses to keep the battles fresh).

I thought people said that because of the Super Famicom colored button icons. Nintendo's Switch games have pretty much never had colored button icons until recently with Super Mario RPG. That one made some sense since it's a remake of an SNES game. But then we get Paper Mario TTYD, a remake of a Gamecube game, and it has the same color SFC scheme.

I hope this ends up being a soft reboot of the series. Basically, we're starting over circa 2004 with TTYD and now future PM games will be more in this style going forward. I say that because Nintendo is marketing this heavily, and it doesn't have "remake" or "remastered" in the title.

I don't think I've ever seen a studio remake a game and just act like it's all new, but with this one, it actually makes sense. It's twenty years old, and due to the GameCube's poor performance, as well as the fact that it was completely overshadowed in 2004, it's actually very obscure. Hardcore Paper Mario fans like myself may view it as a cult classic, but to most Switch owners, it might as well be new. Anyway, great game, and the remake looks as wonderful as is deserved.

That’s so cool that they went above and beyond for this remaster. One cool thing I noticed is that each character has a different sound for when they talk now. That’s such a cool detail. Hopefully the future is bright for Paper Mario after this release? Would love to see them release a true sequel in this style.

AHHHHH! I'm so EXCITED! I am sooooooo glad they kept Peach's original dress. The upgrades in this game are amazing!! From the menu screens, the star piece's design, and the way everything has a slight white outline. The outline really makes it feel more paper like, kind of like if someone cut everything out. Can't wait to see how much more has changed and/or added from the Gamecube version. This was my favorite game growing up in the 2000's.
