Hey look, they added a Heart Block in the Pit of 100 Trials entrance.

That honestly was the most convenient place to put a heart block, and yet they somehow for whatever reason didn't put one there in the base game when it really should have been. No more having to go on foot all the way to the inn's second floor for a healing before taking another crack at the pit.

Still night as well be free because you tent to make more than that on the first 10 floors of the pit, which is the soonest you can leave. The save block there is also convenient. There is one just outside here right by the thousand year door itself, but you have to do a little but of platforming and paper airplane action to reach there, so it takes like half a minute. This is way more efficient.

I'm hoping for a new adventure in the series if that happens. when they remastered Superstar Saga for the 3DS it was fine but what inspired them to remaster Bowser's Inside Story before Partners in Time on the 3DS? You could already play the DS version on the 3DS. This pointless remaster led to the bankruptcy of AlphaDream, so no Mario & Luigi Games so far. But with them returning to their roots with the remaster of Super Mario RPG and picking the best Paper Mario for a switch Remaster, TTYD, I'm hopeful we will see the Mario & Luigi series continue... Just don't make it Sticker Star/ Color Splash/ Origami King levels of bad...

Twilight Princess is on 3 systems. These other games are stranded on the GameCube with no other official way to play them, so they need remakes/ports more.

I thought people said that because of the Super Famicom colored button icons. Nintendo's Switch games have pretty much never had colored button icons until recently with Super Mario RPG. That one made some sense since it's a remake of an SNES game. But then we get Paper Mario TTYD, a remake of a Gamecube game, and it has the same color SFC scheme.

What I love most is that new fans are going to experience some top teir opponents/villains in this game, because this game by FAR had the most well rounded designed and written foes in the entire series! Everyone you come accross is memorable, and that is not something you find in games often. The Shadow Sirens, Rawk Hawk, The funny sheet ghost (won't say his ;) name), etc! The designs are the best in the series no doubt. I still can't believe this game exists! 🤘📕

You can just wait and fumble around in the first room and eventually the door will open all the same. The shower scene does trigger the door opening immediately, though, so it's optimal. 😂

I hope this ends up being a soft reboot of the series. Basically, we're starting over circa 2004 with TTYD and now future PM games will be more in this style going forward. I say that because Nintendo is marketing this heavily, and it doesn't have "remake" or "remastered" in the title.

AHHHHH! I'm so EXCITED! I am sooooooo glad they kept Peach's original dress. The upgrades in this game are amazing!! From the menu screens, the star piece's design, and the way everything has a slight white outline. The outline really makes it feel more paper like, kind of like if someone cut everything out. Can't wait to see how much more has changed and/or added from the Gamecube version. This was my favorite game growing up in the 2000's.

I noticed that they kept the gallows in Rougeport’s main square. It looks amazing so far, and I like the new purpose of the Star Pieces and Shine Sprites. The changes I did see make sense, like the slot machines in the Pianta Palor being changes to a skill based matching games, because gambling or slot machines will raise the age rating of this game to T instead of E or E-10+. What I would really like to see if there really is a new badge that allows you to toggle between the sound font/soundtrack of the remake and the original GameCube sound font/soundtrack.

I’m very excited to replay this and share it with my kids. Preordered Origami King hoping for an experience like this, or at least something my kids would enjoy, and the timed battle system was absolutely not working for us. It wasn’t challenging enough to keep me engaged, and it was too hard for my kids. You can only have a five year old replay the same battle tutorial so many times before the game stops being fun.
