This was brilliant. This is exactly how each of their personalities would shine if they actually appeared. (Funny enough this actually manage to give Watt a personality since she lacked one in 64) Goombario and Sushie had the best lines though. Goombario's snarky comment about all Goomba's intelligence and then shuns Goombella, harsh, but funny. The Spines being "Pipes" comment was the best line. And Sushie's comment on the Yoshi kids being angsty teenagers just feels so accurate. Then of course there's the lovely Lady Bow (I know she's already in TTYD, but still)

One of the troubles in the trouble center has a Goomba who wants to find love. Have Goombella out when you talk to him, and he'll fall for her, only to get rejected. He runs off, dropping a special cake that restores HP, but "you can't eat it alone".

All of this new text feels pretty authentic and detailed, and Suhie's mention of the Yoshi Kid mood swings fits in well with the Goombario's Quest animated series by Eastbeastfilms. I look forward to seeing a whole new Paper Mario game, made out of the existing code from PM64 & TTYD, and that possibilty is only getting closer! The only thing that feels off here is that a couple of the PM64 idle animations are a bit too fast, namely Goombario & Kooper. (And Watt lacking a shadow)

Being told that they can’t make original characters and that Bowser MUST be the main villain is just plain stupid. So it’s okay when Mario odyssey adds new, never before seen characters and species into its game. But Paper Mario isn’t allowed to have a Goomba stick out by having different colored shoes and a purple hat? You also gotta love how they said that for Origami King that it’s difficult to mod Mario and that you aren’t allowed to add new characters to the Mario franchise and world. Then they go and create Prince Olly, an ORIGINAL CHARACTER. You can’t do that. You can’t say it’s difficult to mod Mario and that you can’t create original characters. And then processed to have your villain be an original character while Mario is modded in the game (1,000 fold arms)

I played ttyd as a kid and only got around to playing the original last year for the first time. So watching this I was CONVINCED that I had just missed all of this as a kid because I didn’t know any of the past partners. That is until I saw Watt lol But still this is really great, good work!

Man. The remake had a golden opportunity here. Would’ve been nice if they re-implemented the 64 partners into it, to throw Paper Mario 64 fans a bone. Who knows if or when we will get a remake of 64, so having them in the TTYD remake would be a nice little bonus for them.

3:52 : I can't agree more. :) (I had such a misadventure with the postal office once: They've lost my letter containing a huge paycheck. I went back and forth with the people responsible for my paycheck and in the end, I had to crash a meeting with the high guys of the league to get my paycheck. I bet the treasure guy didn't kept his job afterward. Since that incident, they've switched to direct deposit. So much more convenient.
