Could you activate Timestop and skip the Grodus+Bowser fight? There's a chair in the way at that point, but considering the developers never intended for you to be there before fighting Grodus, it may not have collision. Also, I'm not sure if you can fight Shadow Queen in an earlier sequence position.

Grass digger This is something people were testing today. The chair does have collision, though it may be possible to get past it with a Yoshi Teleport. However you sadly can't fight the Shadow Queen with the wrong sequence position.

You need the Ultra Boots for Timestop so no, unfortunately.

Really_Tall Could it work if you somehow got the ultra boots early?

a problem with that is, to my knowledge, there is no way known to revert the game to a pre chapter 3 post chapter 2 state after passing it. If you wanted to get the boots early, you could take the bluepipe to poshly sanctum, read the note on the door, take the excess express, which, by entering, would allow you to go through the entire chapter 6 train sequence from the missing soup onwards, which DOES get you the boots, but after getting them, there's no way known to revert the gamestate back to that pre chapter 3 state.

I see. Do you need to be in a pre chapter 3 post chapter 2 state to skip the blimp ticket?

It's still worth testing, if it works then it may be worth it to play normally until you enter Great Tree, then go straight for Super Boots and leave. Then you could go to Poshley from the Sewers and ride the train for Ultra Boots. If Super Boots could be gotten quickly with the help of more glitches, then I think you'd still save a decent amount of time, it helps that you can use Yoshi in Chp 7.

Zelcraftgamer It should work on any version. JP already has a method of TRE that only requires Flurrie though, as opposed to Goombella, Yoshi, Mowz and Ultra Boots, so this trick is only useful for NTSC-U/PAL.
