Paper Moon Criterion 4K Review

Hey James. Great review. I own the 2003 Paramount DVD of Paper Moon. I'm gonna upgrade to the blu ray during next July's 50% off Criterion sale. The 2003 DVD has the commentary and a 3-part documentary, which I think could be the same thing that's on the Criterion release. If that's the case, then not much new footage, unfortunately. That fold out essay/poster and cigar box looks cool. For Bogdonavich films, only other film I've seen of his is, "What's Up Doc." Happy new year.

Great review James!! I saw this at a theater a couple of years ago. Glad Criterion put it out on 4k. And I agree Criterion is starting to skimp on their features. Arrow has definitely surpassed them in that category.

Excellent review! I haven’t seen Paper Moon in years but I remember loving it and I’ll pick up the 4K eventually. I love that you included Tatum O’Neal’s brief Oscar acceptance speech.

Ryan O'Neal should have been nominated for Best Actor--but the Academy doesn't like TV actors making it on the big screen. It's his best performance.
