I am a new viewer, and totally new to the idea of junk journals. I spent Labor Day weekend binge-watching your channel. It started out as research on what could be done with old books that have no face value (trying to convince a friend to save some books from the landfill). I had some vague notion that crafters do something with old books and might want these. Just a few videos in, I found myself thinking “I want to do this myself!” and down the rabbit hole I went. 🐰 My storage hut now holds several boxes of encyclopedias, dictionaries and bound legislative records. Now I am wanting All The Things, lol. Last night I was dreaming about glueing little bits together; I guess I am hooked. Enjoying your laid-back teaching style.

Hi Gayle! I was thrilled to get my Bird Waltz paper and stamp today, as I see a few others on here did as well! I had thought it was going to be another week or more, but there it was on my porch when I got home from school. Oh, and it's so pretty!! Not sure what I'm gonna do with it, but can hardly wait to use it and see how it all turns out. LOL Yup, just put me in a craft haven nursing home! LOL My grandmother and a few aunts have had Alzheimer's and so, yup, a bit of a worry for me as I have found myself getting more forgetful. Even more so than my mother, who has always had a fairly good memory. She's in her 80s now and does those word search puzzles all the time. I'm thinking they must help. Ooooo, I will have to try that tip for the glue. I like volcanoes, but not coming out of glue bottles. And there are gushers all the time. Ewwww... Such a pretty pocket you just made. And oh, what a pretty border punch. And as far as dust bunnies on border punches go... Ummmm.... I'm not standing here whistling a tune and acting like it doesn't happen to me. It does, but since I've started crafting JJ items, I've been able to clean them off a little more. Yes, you may toss those two pieces. Although...? LOL Gayle, you can do whatever you want. LOL I just love how you talk to us like we are right there with you! You do that and I'm gonna just chat right alone with you. It really does feel like we are right in the same room together, crafting and chatting away. I just love it! Oh, I really like the lacey pocket you just made. And, the one pocket, the lace you choose; I was saying, yeah, pick that one. I'm so glad you did. It really made that a really pretty pocket. All the pockets are just lovely & really compliment the journals so well. You always do such nice work. Well, until next time, my friend. Have a good rest of your day or evening. God Bless. Sue H.

oh these are coming along great gayle! i can see how a score board really helps for projects like this, might need to get one. so the jury is still out on the Fabritac trick eh? hmmm, i'll try it when i get a new bottle, and also the tip to smear a little vaseline and/or chapstick on the tip to prevent the spider webs.... ahhh those teeny-tiny bits! lol. i'm the same way-so hard to toss em, but i'm getting better at it 👍 tfs friend 💕

Hi Gayle, I just love that paper pad but I’ve only seen it for sale at over $73 😳 here in Australia. Oh, well something to give some thought to, and if I’m still interested in about a month then I’ll get it. I put everything on delay now otherwise I fall in the trap of buying things on impulse. Oh and by the way I could watch “The Bumbling Crafter”, distress the edges ALL DAY! Who, out of any of us, couldn’t use a good daily giggle! What a wonderful gift to give the world. ❤️❤️❤️

Don’t take the paper off the inside of the cap on the Fabri Tac. Just poke a bit bigger hole. Open the cap and do it from the inside. It really does help. :-). Love what you’ve done. Hugs.

I thought of that, and maybe also add a little "breathing" hole beside the larger one to help the glue come out (like when we use to use "church keys" to open cans!)

I had memory loss last year (they diagnosed "stress amnesia" because my building had been jackhammering in the courtyard right outside my window for over 3 weeks), and the doctor did tell me that if you remember something eventually, even if it's hours later, you're okay. We also talked about how, when crafting or doing anything artistic, you can easily access some things but not others. For instance, you can craft and talk about your kids and what's happened recently because those are memories, but it's difficult to think of a phrase like "assembly line" because it's something different and you don't use the phrase often.

Just a silly question as I wake up this morning and start checking out videos to watch today (yours is first!): do KZbinrs have particularly short arms...or is there a special set of shirts just for you guys that are made to extend way over your wrists? :D (I know it's silly...but every time I see a video where the maker is wearing long sleeves...they are so long! Is this a fashion statement I'm missing out on?) P.S. I LOVE the color of your shirt! ** I wrote this before I heard your own comment about your long sleeves today. ;)
