in the demo i got a run where i got a full combo, and i didn't get hit once. Got the maximum score i could get in the demo.

The thumbnail + title makes me incredibly happy! Isaac is one of both mine, and the developer's favourite games! A huge driver behind Paper Planet's development was, "can we give the player the feeling of those fun, bombastic Isaac synergies - without requiring players to master the game to do so consistently". I'm excited to see you mess around with the Plane Planet! Boss Rush maybe works a little different than you may expected. You don't *get* all the items at once. You earn them boss-by-boss, as well as other ways to modify your stats. Still, that might not be for everyone! Good point on the Yellow Gem. It's a GemCraft reference, hence the yellow color. But I wonder if that can be tweaked to not cause confusion with Dodge Shots.

bullets pierce through solid objects is you can shoot through your planet and your rain friend would pierce through your planet also they may have ballenced the game more but in quite a few runs for me in the demo I would kill bosses in like 5 seconds

Not sure how many things changed between demo and a full version, but after few runs in demo I got one that made 4 of my phases perfect and only time-wise on the first one I was lacking to get a full perfect run. I got key item as a second or a third one. I believe that one or two more items later I got made it really busted, that last boss did not even last for 5 seconds. I had another such busted run and I am pretty sure that I had 3 key items that made it happen, but different than in this other run. So I think what is stated in a video is true about every run getting busted, but there are just some powerful synergies, that when you get like those 3 items combined, they just shred everything. I think it is safe to say you won't get those combinations that often, but when you do, it almost plays for itself. I think there is one instance where you can take an advantage of this, which is boss rush.

You hit the nail on the head very clearly this video. There are so many items with so many interactions with each other that every run ends up a complete mess unless you go purely for stats. But the game as a whole is designed and balanced against the player getting busted.

hey Tyler, i know it gets noisy and hard to see, but i think that while you CAN block red bullets, you dont HAVE to block red bullets. if i observed correctly i think i saw some of them hit the planet and you took no damage. maybe something to science out next time?

u do have to block them, its just that the game is pretty lenient when it comes to blocking red bullets
