I think a bit of OCD would kick in and I'd have to redd up the basement a bit before I could start digging. When you were in the ceder closet I think you said one the the dresses was a Laura Ashley...that may have been worth a little bit of money.

Hi Renee If I were you I would contact the owners of the house and ask if you could have one more visit to the house. Tell them you have an incomplete set and would love the chance to see if the remainder of the set is around before they dump everything. That's what I would do. Can't hurt to just ask. Have a great day

I was thinking of the Santa Clauses in Christmas movies, then I remember recently watching a movie of a Santa Clause who came to New York or Chicago, Kurt Russell married to 60's star Goldie Hawn. He invented a contraption in The North Pole and it was almost used for evil, by someone Santa use to trust, envious, jealous elf. Hope this helps. Tim Allen also played as Santa Clause in a different movie. The chubby man on the ornament you got, don't know his name. Seen a few throughout the years. Vool treasures found, love them.

Hello!👱♀️ the mouse ornament reminds me of my little girl!!👱♀️ I usually put presents under the tree you know a few weeks before just a few things and I noticed that there was little holes poked in the🎄 wrapping paper and I said OH NO THE CHRISTMAS MOUSE MUST HAVE BEEN PEEKING INTO THE PRESENTS so my daughter came down the stairs one day with a present all the way UNWRAPPED and she said with the STRAIGHTEST OF FACE 😲OMG MOM LOOK WHAT THE CHRISTMAS MOUSE DID!!!!!!🤣😂🤣😂LOVE THAT MEMORY!!! Please visit the MAROLIN home page, there is lots of the history of this company. Established 1900 in Steinach / Thüringen it is still producing Krippenfiguren. 14 cm items are the most well known made by Julius Weight. Today you can buy 3 piece Maria,Josef and Baby for 140 Euro, the donkey for 44 Euros. The big 11 pieces (new) would be 500 Euros. Have a Happy Day Renee!

Hi, new subscriber here! The Kmart dress is 60’s or 70’s. Kmart first opened in 1962. I worked there during my college days in the 80’s. The tags on that dress look like they were older than the ones I used to deal with in the 80s. Also, it looks exactly like the dresses my both of my grandmothers’ wore in the 60’s! You got a lot of cool stuff!

The Laura Ashley dresses (made in England) were a favourite of Princess Diana's back in the 80s (early 90s) they had there own materials designed and were quite expensive "they still are today" and there are collecters of there older stuff, so if you ever find them again at a good enough price maybe pick a couple up and try your luck at seeling them over here in the (UK) England 🇬🇧 because as i say there are collectors over here xXx hope this helps you out a little 😊 and your so right about Santa clause the movie being a great film ,the DVD and one of those decorations would make a fantastic christmas present for someone or a family (i know its its something) id love to recieve personally xXx

I haven't thought of them for years until you brought them up in an earlier video. That house was amazing. I bet most people wished for more time and space to treasure hunt! The Blumchen items are beautiful. And "creche" is pronounced "cresh", it's a french word I believe.

@@laurahopwood3332 That's great! I'm going to look it up. And yes, songs do stay in your head. I remember that song from the 70's. Kind of poignant now. They were trying to save union/manufacturing jobs in the U.S. and I'll bet nearly 100% of our clothing is now manufactured outside of the U.S. The t-shirt I'm wearing right now says "Made in Mauritius"😔 Just about the same for the textile industry and I was talking to a friend recently, saying "remember when much of our furniture came from North Carolina?" luv your videos. I was just the same at your age collecting antique and vintage objects. my grandmother and mother took me with them to junk and thrift stores in five states around D.C. My mother living in Germany and Panama bartered for many items. I saw you passed a Laura Ashley dress. The vintage Laura Ashley is highly sought after not only for the early style but the fabric they were made from, Vyella. I have also sent you some messages on Instagram but received no reply. I hope I sent them correctly, about a photo from three ladies in wedding attire from the late nineteen teens or 1920's. you bought an estate sale about a month ago. I would be interested in purchasing as I luv the clothes from that time period and collect esp. women's wedding style. Thank you so much Renee as you bring joy to an elderly lady's heart. God bless you in your pursuits.
@PaperandMoose4 жыл бұрын
Hi Laura, thank you for the comment! I should have picked up more of the clothing, even if I couldn't fit it, I could have sold them. I'll check my Instagram, sometimes messages go into a "folder" that I forget to check. I do know the photo that you are referring to and I've had many inquiries on it, so I think I will make that photo available via PDF download in my Etsy shop (will be testing out my scanner this weekend!). This way, many people can enjoy the photograph and the ladies can live on with many people!

Mouse on a table or on tree means , wealth and generosity of food, while an egg painted on the tree means health and prosperity. Was what my Grandmother from Austria said who arrived before WW1. She was married to my Grandfather a Dr., who taught in Scotland before arriving in USA with her younger Brother. Only reason l put up any decor at winter from good memories shared.
