Don't you ever ever apologize for your love of paper. It is what makes you you. And it's wonderful to see you light up when you find the stuff you love. I can't go rummaging, I can't go trash picking but I can do it with you. And you are giving a bond to the old paper I never had. I loved old phot ok s always have but you are teaching me about old photos. Sharing the stories you find about them. I absolutely love it. And in the old cards even the Halloween there is so much character and beauty. I love all of it. And I thank for bringing it to me. Don't change who you are. You are just wonderful. I bet your momma is so proud of you. ❤️

True story, I had a sweet collection of vintage valentines completely unused and in perfect condition. They were given to me by an elderly lady and I kept them for about 30 years. One of them even had a 3D fold out tissue paper heart on it. Decided to part with them and send them to a friend of mine who makes beautiful collage artwork. They never arrived!! I still tear up when I think about it.

I lived in Germany for 3 years 50,51 and 52 and witnessed the bombed out buildings/rubble. It had a profound effect on me. Americans have been lucky and don't have a clue what its like to rebuild an entire country.

That is true, my grandparents lived though the war, we are from Denmark, well we also live here. Sadly both sets of grandparents are no longer with us. I was told some funny and scary stories from the war. The German people have alot of self hate due to the war, even the people who weren't even alive or even their parents weren't alive during the war. It's really bad. It's been 75 years since the war started. They are not allowing themselves to move on. The Russian have, Stalin was even worse, then there's Japan and their treatment of the Chinese. They have moved on. I am NOT neglecting what happened due to the war at all. I hope you somewhat understand what I am trying to say....

Seeing the photo's of WW1 makes me think of the selfless acts these hero's went through. The pride, the years of hardships, the support they showed one another still shine through in these photo's. Now all these years later people are so selfish, greedy and believe they have the right to have what ever they want. We as a modern society have truly let these brave souls down. We are now fighting the people in our own countries.

Wait... hold on a second, I’m from California and living in Oregon and we say buttons and curtains the same way you do. And to be completely honest... who cares how others say something. Hello again Renee. I’m finally get back to seeing the rest of your video. I got sidetracked but you did very well . I do love the photo album’s they are a wonderful find. I’m so amazed by the one with the shots of the town and the aftermath. I’ve never seen real photos of it before. My favorite part of this all wasn’t of your finds but of you talking about the amputees and then at the end when you said you would go for paper first and then other things . You are wonderful to watch and listen to. It’s a shame you didn’t get the jackets for a dollar bummer. Oh well you scored way better on other things. Stay safe and well . May your nested flea market bring you even more wonderful treasures.📷📜📰🎞❤️❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯💯💯
