That's not bad compared to the show Hoarders. That's barely anything, probably just started to be a hoarder. I have cringed and been sickened to see what this mental health issue causes people to live like. There are many you feel bad for because they don't see it as an issue and it's completely normal in their mind.

The army jacket with the honor Guard tab is for someone who served in the 2nd Logistics Command, this unit served mostly in Okinawa. Depending on the time period the rank is either for a Specialist 3 or Specialist 4, going by the uniform most likely Spec 4.

This was so lovely to see, for two reasons. 1) you and Taco are clearly peas in a pod with your zest for adventure and finding treasure. 2) I'm subscribed to Spaulding Decomp, and when they do hoard clearing they're instructed to throw everything/nearly everything. Sometimes they don't get a choice because of bio. So it's really nice to see you get a chance to go through looking at somebody else's treasures. Looking forward to part two, which in itself is an unexpected bonus.

Hurrah y’all got the house to pick. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Hoarding is such a disease it’s so sad. My mother-in-law is pretty close to this and I have learned that it actually happened once her mother passed away. I’m not really sure why that would cause holding on to things but I guess that loss was too traumatic. ?? I love your videos. I watch every day. Seeing the stacks of old newspapers in this house reminded me of a recent purchase my son made at a picker's mall. He found old colored comic strips that came in the Sunday paper. He found half page ones of Dick Tracy for sale for $7.95. These were from the 1940's but thought you might check among those in that house to see the dates and if there were Sunday comics. I think they are becoming collectable since most printed newspapers don't exist anymore. Just a thought.

Hey Renee I don't know if it was you that I mentioned this to in the past. But it is a Good Idea to go through the newspapers. There could possibly be money in them. My Dad knew a guy that hid his cash in his stacks of newspapers. His reason was so if anyone broke into his house they most likely wouldn't find it. So of course when he died, Dad told the family.

Hoarding is such a tragedy...in this case I wonder about the cognitive stability of the homeowner. They may have just reached a point of such mental decline, whereas they may have been more mentally stable in earlier years, and could better keep things under control. The soiled tissues in the bathroom...so sad, it breaks my heart for the resident of that home...perhaps waterlines fell into disrepair years ago and then they just had the water shutoff. I do love the vintage posters, BTW, ....looking forward to your next video to see what treasures you have found. Got Bless 💕

Hoarding is awful. Family can want to help all they want, but sometimes the help is turned away and/or it can cause splits in relationships. In this case, I think it was decline due to older age and finally they were able to be removed from the home and put into a better living situation.

Wow...that looks just like my home....but no FR-GS....LOL! Wait for the fridge!!!! Speaking of things fridggy...love that vintage oak ice box...looks like one we had in a small cabin my folks purchased...we actually used it...of course...I remember it as a little guy. When the old cabin was torn down to make way for the new house...the ice box was sold off to a friend of dad's. Up those creaky stairs to see a "water closet" very similar to the one in my bathroom, even as to the color! It's truly amazing how all that stuff accumulates!! Those clothes might just disintegrate in washing or cleaning them...when I was involved in cleanouts, we just pitched all the old clothes, bedding and such. Those posters are probably from the American Nazi Party, and the Japanese supporters...don't forget the Italians! My paternal grand dad had to register as an American Citizen, being he was from Germany. He carried a special I.D. card. There were illegal German and Italian, as well as Japanese spies, infiltrating the country...mostly scare tactics by the government. That's why the Japanese Americans faced those so called detention centers, in reality prisons. Couple of the posters look like reproductions from the WW I era. Better than a dead homo sapiens! you'll have quite an adventure in that domicile!
