I have done this so many times, at 7:50 and 6:50 i have NO idea what your doing! Please explain your steps in more detail. I was so excited to do this but I gave up in frustration. I even played it in 0.25 speed and it made NO sense!!

Sorry to hear that... at 6:50 I can describe those steps: Create diagonal folds on the top left section on all 4 sides. Try looking at the result of my action. At 7:50, that is harder to explain but I'll try: Make sure the model is positioned so that all four sections are spaced out so that it can stand up by itself, then fold the top flaps down, using the diagonal folds made (at 6:50)... then tuck those flaps down inside. There is no way this is a level 2 out of 5. You rate the cactus a 3, this was much harder to follow than the cactus one.

cinnymoon you might be right, I’m not sure. I find it hard to gauge the difficulty. I try to take into account the time it takes to make the model and this is much less time than the cactus. The cactus also requires quite a tricky sink fold.

Nice video, but towards the end, the tutorial is kinda hard to understand. I couldn't make this masu box for my cactus :( Please post another video for this! The camera angle starting 7:45 was not really helping interprete how to fold the paper. Thank you~

It's a shame you can't understand it, unfortunately I will not be making another tutorial for it anytime soon, and I only have this angle to film... maybe try checking out this one, kzbin.info/www/bejne/fWrbgpSjgdmcr9km16s at 4:16 (in that vid) the model is a little different, but the process is the same and it might help to understand what the paper is doing. Or maybe you could hold your paper in the same position that it is being held in the video, you can also slow the video down, press the ⚙️ icon on the video screen to choose the speed... :)

I have a a lot of pottery that I to sell here I Sweden and I will put origami flowers in them. And my girlfriend have asked me to make flowers to her job with Alzheimer's elderly people. Tutorial was perfect! I've done almost all of your plant tutorials, and I love them! not sure why everyone thinks the step at 7:50 is difficult, as you laid out the creases beforehand, which quite literally did the step. :)

Hi, I know I’m late but I was trying to make this for my cactus, but I was not able too. The part at 7:50 was really hard and even with the diagram I couldn’t complete it. I ended up just stuffing tissues in the masu box and adding a layer of paper on top. I dont know if this is just because I’m really bad at origami, but could you please make another video on this? Thanks! Edit- I know that literally all the other comments are about this but if you see this, please make another video because u can’t be the only one who is confused, even with the diagram.

I don't understand why she said 17:5 cm for one paper and the she showed one bigger than the 17:5 so what size is that

Both papers are 17.5 cm. The one for the flower holder has to be a little smaller, so this is showing how to get it the right size, compared to the paper you use for it's box. Hope that makes sense.

Made it exactly the same as in the instructions, but with a thicker paper. It did not fit when I tried to insert it. It did actually, but it was too tight to put the cactus in it.

I know how frustrating it is when you can't follow something, why not give it another try, pause after each action and you can even slow the video down in the settings. 🙂
