hey guys! just going to save you the trouble of having to replay the video over and over to get some measurements and stuff template: 18 cm long 13.5 cm blade length 4.5 cm long handle 6 mm width and just want to note that you should probably do it on hard-ish paper because the printing flimsy paper doesn't last as long for a template if you're planning to use it for several swords

Yep, the paper I used was 250gsm, twice as think as standard printer paper.

i found out that u can also use toothpick( the ones that are wooden and flexible) and use glue to stick 'em all together and they work really good if you don't want to tape.

I used to make these like. In highschool chemistry. Like whenever we would do those boring ass essays with the diagrams and charts and whatnot. . .I'd just be sitting in the far back(cause of ADHD and not being able to focus on such dull tasks in a classroom) So I'd just have like. Paper scraps from cutting out the graphs which I'd glue up to make em harder and just slowly build up sword details. I think the only one I coloured was a Fusion sword from FF7 advent children but my friend broke that. . . Either way your swords do look awesome, I'd kill to see you work on like cosplay stuff.

Niceeee, I like doing paper katanas too, but I use just paper, so I do compressed paper for the center and do paper tubes and give em shape for the blade, about the handle I don’t draw it, I cut 2mm wide strips of paper, and do the handle part as katanas are usually put the cord on the handle
