PNG is one of the deadliest military in the Pacific island in early 1990s but peace agreement with Australia in 1989 to make PNG military to be less in power and will be under Australian full guidelines, that's why, PNG deadliest military never showed off. This is not a new. They saw there warriors skills.

PNGDF is WEAK! They are allowing Australian & Indonesian air force to take control of PNG airspace during the APEC Summit because PNG air defense is virtually non-existent.

Babylonian_death 1 When you say the PNGDF, be specific which element. Yes they're not as well equipped in the air element and that's simply because of the budget. What else can you do other than outsource???

which element? well... ALL OF THEM. PNG barely even allocate funds for equipment upgrades... they may allocate funds for maintenance here and there but any form of modernization and upgrades comes from "hand-me-downs" from Australia. the land forces may be the most equipped out of the 3 defense elements but then again they still lack personnel just for guarding the eastern border. the navy literally has four patrol boats. while the air elements is again.... almost extinct.
