150 PNGDF Recruits Completes Dawn Attack Exercise

Dawn Attack Exercise is one final preparation those putting their hands up to join the Papua New Guinea Defence Force must endure.
It is through this drill that everything learnt in the three months prior are put to practice.
This morning 150 PNGDF recruits took the test to demonstrate the basic skills of a soldier.

This PNGDF is on of the best in the south pacific, because when they arrived in the Solomon Islands, they don't need to hold their guns, just their presences scares away our rioters. HAHA

I was lucky enough to be attached to a PNGDF platoon as a signaller in the Solomon Islands in 2009. The locals either loved them, or were terrified of them - people threw rocks at the ADF vehicles all the time, but everyone knew doing that to the PNG dudes was a great way to get the shit kicked out of you

Useless pek2 wantok system military force in the Pacific.. Compared to Fiji Military Force, they were travel on some International Missions like, Iraq and Afghanistan with UN and they can fight Counter Terrorism... Na PNG when???????

I dunno... Fijian troops have mostly served as peacekeepers (something the PNGDF have done), and their time in Afghanistan was largely spent as sentries and guards to free up more British troops for patrols and larger operations. It's also worth pointing out that the Fiji Military Forces have staged successful coups against the democratically elected government of their country twice. Call me crazy, but I'd happily work with the PNGDF over the RFMF any day

They can go there because they don't have any land border to worry about. Just like Australia. PNG is the only country in the world that share land border with the world largest Muslim nation by population.
