11:25 No, when a human is losing hope/faith in their trait their color dulls and turns grey. When a soul is emptying like that (both for humans and monsters) it's because they are losing magical energy, like when Betty was draining the souls of energy in earlier episodes the inside color emptied out like that as well. 13:03 I assume the glasses breaking was either just classic "big magical feedback breaks glass" thing, similar to how it can cause people to cough up blood even though realistically you should only ever be coughing up blood if somehow blood is in your lungs. Either that or considering it's tech, the massive burst of magical energy just overwhelmed the electronics in the glasses and shattered it. 18:00 Some of the duel colored dialogue from Rave is just cause its too short to actually make it two separately colors. 22:54 Hate doesn't just get destroyed when you free someone from it, when Chara was freed from his Hate it still existed. Chara's Hate is the Hate that the AMD recovered and which Betty stole, and when Sans was freed from the Hate that was infecting him it returned to Betty. Love the emotion can be used to cause Hate to lose its control over someone, but it cant destroy it by it. The only way to truly destroy Hate is to kill what is currently hosting it. 26:15 Even this didn't actually destroy the Hate as we see at the end of the episode Chara still has the Hate inside him, all this was doing was Chara "taming" Hate and turning it into what he calls Animosity. Technically this isn't even "tamed" either, Chara is just able to impose his will over Hate's goal, making it so that he is controlling Hate instead of being controlled by it, though theoretically speaking that control will only hold as long as Chara retains the will to do so, once that leash is loosened Hate will be right back to trying to corrupt him. 26:17 "This is way too happy why do I have a feeling something horrible will happen" Is only a little over halfway through the episode. Oh I have no idea why you'd have that feeling, surely nothing bad could happen. 28:01 Reminder that Gaster is OP, he is literally the only character in the entire series that Betty is actively afraid of, sure she had moments of terror towards Undyne in her Undying form and LV 19 Frisk, but Gaster is the only person who Betty feels a constant fear towards. To that same end, he is also the only character in the series that Betty just cant defeat in a straight fight assuming no random bs powerups like Undying form Undyne or Frisk breaking the timeline even more, she should've been killed in Do or Die and only survived solely because she got extremely lucky and caught Gaster off guard with Rhabdophobia. So yeah, Betty is running cause she really doesn't want to face Gaster, especially when she has an easy escape route. Of course with her getting immediately ganked by Sans and Papyrus right after, she wasn't really given a say in the matter and had to fight. 29:52 Technically he normally would be due to his morals. 32:35 That's an emotion thing for Sans, when Sans is really serious. mad, or just surprised his eyes sockets go completely dark. 36:08 So reminder about Gaster, in Glitchtale Gaster is a boss monster and Sans and Papyrus are his sons. Boss monsters directly lose their magic when having children as that magic is drained to grow the child, which unlike for normal monsters leave the boss monster permanently weakened. Gaster is essentially reversing that flow of energy, instead of Papyrus draining Gaster's magic to grow, Gaster is TAKING BACK his magic from Papyrus, which is killing Papyrus, in the same way that Sans's death at the start of the series returned the magical energy that Sans took back to Gaster and allowed him to use Duality from then on. 40:25 So to explain this contrasting with what I said earlier of killing the host of Hate destroys the Hate... yeah that doesn't apply to Betty because Betty isn't a person, she's a spell, even with Betty dead the remains of the spell are still there even if it is breaking down with her death (as seen with her body gradually disintegrating), which allowed Hate to grab the remaining pieces of the spell and pull it all back together with its own power. The only way for Gaster to have killed both Betty and the Hate is if he didn't stop, had he completely annihilated Betty's corpse then the Hate would've been destroyed as well, however had he done so he would've completely drained and killed Papyrus, and the strain would've fully cracked and destroyed his soul. 41:18 No, as seen later Gaster is fine, Papyrus is just seeing an illusion of Gaster dying. 44:30 Frisk glitching out wasn't because of him embracing the Hate, it was from him breaking the rules to jump to LV 19. Had Frisk only been using Hate he would've been fine. You didn't seem to have this confusion but I figured I'd comment it just cause a lot of people do, the create at the end isn't Betty. Like Betty herself said she is fully dead, this creature is 100% just Hate by itself, while having stolen Betty's powers due to using Betty's corpse/the Bete Noire spell remains as its base.

so a answer to your question, No Gaster didn't dust yet, Remember Betty Noire's main gimmick is to give illusions that scares her foes, papyrus, who witnessed his own brother dusting, only has gaster left (his father), so The hate entity used betty's fear trait on papyrus, making it seem like gaster died in his arms. in reality it was just a illusion that prevented papyrus from moving

When I first saw the fight between Sans, Papyrus, and Gaster vs Betty, when Gaster broke and finally had enough and ripped Betty's leg off, my reaction was literally "HOLY @$#!" because I was not expecting something that brutal. I've seen brutal before that that took the cake for me to get a genuine surprised reaction.

To explain Papyru's soul draining: Gasters full polychroma was split between Sans and Papyrus after they were born. He is draining Papyrus to get his full power back (since Sans already kicked the bucket). Thats also how he was using the green/shield power again after just loosing it to protect Sans

Time for more Glitchtale facts with Thomas! - Yeah, Rave had it rough. Constantly being compared to another family member is _never_ good for someone, and especially now that mom's gone full "it should've been him" mode with Rave, and with him _agreeing..._ Yeah, you can tell that he is at least somewhat screwed in the head from all that. - Fun fact: Cami actually has a relative (forgetting which sort specifically) who does boxing, and she specifically requested their help for Ronan's badass laser-boxing against the fear slimes. - UNDYNE THE UNDYING HAS EVOLVED! I'm pretty sure I recall this being called her "True Hero" form, and in it, her determination is going _even harder_ than it does in her standard Undying form. And seeing as she can use determination to massively amp her magic... yep, no wonder that giant Spear of Justice attack absolutely deleted both the Kumuzilla (not even joking, that's what the giant fear slime is called) and the Avalon's shield. Shame about Rave powering it himself though... - So here's how I see the whole Asriel moment. The hate _knows_ that there isn't supposed to be a second heart locket. Asriel _vaguely_ knows, likely because of said hate, but isn't entirely sure, so the memories are massively conflicting. Because of that, the hate is doing everything it can to make sure Asriel stays under its control, forcing him to recall every single potential reason for him to hate Chara... and yet all it can muster is making him want Chara to live _even more_ due to bringing up memories of how he ended up dying. - I wonder if the part with the hate shell breaking off of Chara, specifically off of his face, was in any way inspired by Misaka breaking out of her Level 6 Shift in A Certain Scientific Railgun. Because that heavily reminded me of that scene regardless of how basic it seems on paper. - Going back to something more factual... Sans is dead, and Gaster is kinda losing it. In that moment, he uses his ultimate ability: *Polychromatism,* which is where he spawns the seven normal sized hands _and_ the two giant ones, and even brings in a giant Gaster Blaster for good measure. Thing with _that_ is though... *he's not supposed to use it while Papyrus is alive,* because having a living child that hasn't "reached their prime" (whatever that means) is technically a nerf for a monster, as it divides their magic power. That is why Papyrus' soul is being drained: Gaster is using an ability he's supposed to be physically incapable of with him still around. Though it _did_ help him completely brutalize Betty, so hey, what do _I_ know about right and wrong? - On that note, Gaster brutalizing Betty would've been a good thing... _if not for Akumu eating the hate all those episodes prior._ Now, not only is it free to do what it wants, it was able to fashion itself a physical form of its own out of Betty's horridly desecrated corpse. And someone else below said it too, but Gaster's fine. The hate now has access to Betty's powers, including the illusions you so-very-much both love and hate. It's just freaking Papyrus out to make him an easier target. - Finally... animosity. Probably one of the more confusing parts of this series despite also being the simplest on paper. Essentially, animosity is hate that has been tamed by the user, becoming significantly safer to use. Chara is basically a sane version of his season 1 self now, if far weaker due to the lack of his rainbow knife and the removal of all game elements with Frisk's self-erasure (he used to have an ability called File 0, which essentially gave him debug mode and let him freely manipulate his own stats, it's how he managed to fight god mode Asriel to a standstill). However, the confusing part is how there aren't really any notable visual differences, which... well, it makes sense, but it also makes people question what the difference even is between hate and animosity aside from the latter being more convenient.

When you finish glitchtale. You should definitely watch underverse. Its the series that supereyepatchwolf talked about in his undertale video. Its a fantastic current still ongoing series with a great story and beautiful animation that is in my opinion better than glitchtale. And it brings in characters from the undertale fandom. You dont need to know the origins of these fan characters to watch underverse too so thats a plus.

it seems to be a common thing for characters to forget they have certain abilities where/when they need those abilities the most(Sans and Asriel forgetting they can stop time Undyne forgetting she can lock things in place Asgore forgetting he is so good at dodging that he can dodge spears coming from every conceivable direction at once Jessica forgetting she had integrity which can manipulate gravity and maybe a few more I don't remember) what is this Bayonetta 3? it may seem like I dislike this series because of how much I talk shit about it but I actually consider this to be an absolute masterpiece in spite of its glaring flaws at least I get why Sans doesn't do his DIO level shenanigans(in game if you get the key to his room and enter it he stops time and places you on a treadmill in the center of the room and turns the lights off) in this episode since he is running low on energy

@@zykegabrielmarchinoilagan3316 he does it once at Grillbys in the pacifist/neutral route(a clicking sound is heard and everything around him appears to freeze it can't be anything else) and his shortcuts could easily be him stopping time(since it's the exact same clicking sound) and multiple times during the fight that clicking sound is heard it cuts to black for a second and it cuts back to a completely different scenario(unless he teleports you to a place where he already set that stuff up ahead of time he is most likely stopping time to set it up)

Glitchtale is in no way canon to the story, like Gaster isn't even sans and papyrus's father nor is it confirmed that he can use hands as attacks or if he even looks like what the series shows him, it's all fanon so i suggest you not take it seriously or literally not take it even anything at all because I don't see you having issues with Gaster having abilities he shouldn't have so why should sans have abilities he should have.

@@zykegabrielmarchinoilagan3316 I wouldn't have a problem with the removal of those abilities if the pacifist route(and to a lesser extent the genocide route) wasn't a thing in this AU but it was a thing(Frisk went through it over 100 times) and certain things(like Sanses private conversation with Frisk at Grillbys at least 3 of Sanses attacks the shortcuts the "treadmill prank" and Floweys "I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW STUPID YOU ALL ARE" line) and UNDYNE AS WE KNOW HER(if Asgore didn't have the dodge ability Undyne would've never become a royal guard or learned her move that locks things in place and if neither of those things happened she wouldn't have met Alphys she wouldn't have been introduced to Anime she wouldn't have even met Papyrus so she wouldn't be able to teach him how to cook she wouldn't have chased around Frisk and would've never become Frisks friend I could go on but I won't... but I could) wouldn't be possible without them

The different colored hair and eyes are trait indications. In order: Red: Determination Orange: Bravery Yellow: Justice Green: Kindness Teal/light blue: Patience Blue: Integrity Purple: Perseverance Perseverance, like Determination, can help stave off death. Noah probably should've died on impact when the car fell, but his perseverance kept him alive. Same goes for Rave and his sudden magic drain, which is why his hair was purple. It didn't reduce, it went back to how it was before. Fun fact: Cami actually used (I think) her brother as reference for Ronan's 'magic boxing'! There's a video of the animation timelapse on her channel. One of the really heartbreaking bits of Flowey saying that that picture of Chara and Asriel (which is actually in the game, btw!) is the one thing _he_ didn't want to lose, is the fact that Flowey is SOULless. He physically can't feel love, or many other emotions. So even without a SOUL, he still managed to care for Chara. The way to tell if Bete Noire is making someone see an illusion is to look at their eyes. If they're pink, they're seeing an illusion. Kind of a moot point now, but just a clarification ^^' Yeah, Bete Noire made a huge mistake in assuming Papyrus was the weakest link xD She should've gone after Sans if she wanted to use that metaphor. Sans' eyelights being gone is just part of how his expressions work. They usually disappear when he's either being threatening, or he's feeling a very strong negative emotion. He's actually one of the few main Undertale characters to have a very inexpressive face. In the game, his mouth never even moves. Don't worry, Gaster didn't actually die in that moment, it was just an illusion. You can see the pink haze leave Papyrus' eyes right after HATE strikes. Also fun fact that I don't think you picked up on: if you go all the way back to S1E1: Megalomaniac, the shot composition of Chara saving Papyrus and Gaster from HATE here is _identical_ to the one where Frisk saves Sans from Chara :) To give a little clarification on Chara's last line, Animosity is basically 'tamed' (I initially wanted to say domesticated but that's not quite right xD) Hate. Up until now we've only ever seen people either struggling against or being taken over by Hate. However, because Chara allowed it in and is now fighting _with_ it, not against it, he can now use it to his advantage. That's not to say that his control can't slip (as shown in a _very_ brief but ultimately inconsequential moment next episode), but in general it's basically just a buff for him now. It's also worth noting that the Bete Noire is now dead, and because of that the world of Glitchtale is now completely self-sustaining. When it was still alive Chara functioned as the player, meaning that if he died, the world would erase itself. However, that connection is now gone, which means that the world's survival isn't tied to Chara's survival anymore. When Chara dies, the world will still continue existing. Lastly, just to give a little clarification to anyone who didn't entirely get it: the Bete Noire is _dead,_ Gaster fully ended its life. What they're facing now is simply the Hate that Kumu ate all the way back during the fight with Undyne, but made massively stronger due to the fact that it's now using Bete Noire's body as a vessel and can thus use its abilities (as shown by the illusion of Gaster dying). There's a bit more to it, but that would require spoilers for me to explain, so I'll just say to watch both the next episode and the HATE's origins animatic if you want to see that.

The very interesting part in this episode. Gaster after Sans died, when Betty go for some sort of "fake atack" with scythe to make him fear her. He didn't moved at all. Which confused even Betty at first. You will understand why later.

That scene where it seems like Gaster's disintegrating. If you look right after Chara takes the hit, pink is leaving Papyrus's eyes. That was an illusion. It truly is the most terrifying power.

My favorite part of this episode has to be that Gaster's been reinforcing this idea in Papyrus that he doesn't need to be a fighter to be loved or respected, that his kind nature is a good thing. (Spoilers for the Gaster Origins Episode). This is a direct response to the way his father, Roman, raised him, pushing him to embrace hatred and "become the monster he was always meant to be". His father tries to teach him a technique in which he doesn't move in battle, standing sturdy like a tree, blocking and deflecting each attack thrown at him while giving his own. In the end, he fails the training and his father tells him that one day all of his friends are going to die because he's not strong enough to do what needs to be done, that being, killing anyone who dares try to hurt the people he cares about. In the end, Sans dies, Gaster blames himself, and that's the moment he fully embraces the "Kill or be Killed" mentality that his father tried to instill in him, becoming "that monster" so Papyrus doesn't have to, and so Papyrus doesn't die too. He takes Bete down without moving a single damn inch once he gets rooted in place, finally pushed past the point of restraint for the sake of others. It's honestly such a cool parallel. I'd certainly recommend watching the Gaster Origins episode if you haven't already. It's fully voice acted, the animation and character designs are even better, and it really puts into perspective why Gaster is the way he is in the main series. It was a very nice thing to see after I was so disappointed with the anti-climax that was the final episode of Season 2. It felt to me like Camilla had sort of forgotten that Gaster wasn't the main protagonist, that Chara was, so after Gaster nukes Bete from orbit, she needed a new big-bad to fill in the space, but the new big bad didn't have the emotional investment and build-up of hate toward them that Bete had earned as a character. It still looks stunning and had good choreography, but story-wise, I was tapped out. To be fair to her, though, Gaster killing Bete was literally the only way his Character Arc could end without killing him.

oh no sadness. 7:30 the theme playing here isn't exactly from undertale it's more or less an overly remixed version of undyne's theme to the point it's a completely new song made originally for glitchtale by nyxtheshield. 17:41 seems you forgot the soul colours so i'll explain green - kindness, cyan - patience, blue/dark blue - integrity, red - determination (at least in glitchtale, it's debatable if red is determination), purple - perseverance, orange - bravery, yellow - justice. in glitchtale humans seems to be able to have more than one trait and have the powers of both. oh boy one last episode.

also i forgot to mention like two things rave's dialogue is overlapped unless there is two lines and well his perseverance grew to keep him alive and faded back to normal when he was alive again. also gaster's whole thing is that his powers were weakened after sans and papyrus were born and more or less split into thirds and well seeing sans is dead at that point gaster has two thirds of his strength so he starts draining paps' magic to get to his prime strength thus the ability to use both the big hands, blaster and small hands.

this is my favorite episode. i suggest before moving to the next to watch ''descended scientist'' its a remake of the gaster fight. it gives you a better view f what is going on to the characters in the fight, like what is happening to gaster when he snaped. though i warn you airier. you going to love papyrus a lot more afterwards if you watch it. it also shows why betty cant take over gaster's hands and blasters anymore. though it comes with a price

His Perseverance(Purple) grew in power with him trying not to die but faded back to normal once he survived san pretty much only has as much magic as he can determination up for both his body and life and everything else, sure he put everything he had into a single barrage of blasts for blasters and then betty stole it and used it twice(and he powered a third one by forcing more magic from determination but that used up pretty much all he had left in both magic and determination), as far as sans death he does not know they are safe after that which is why he couldn't even fake a smile to sum up it Gaster feeds sans and papyrus magic to have them grow and it weakens him in turn(with sans being the walking dead and then dead he had his duality back or monotone) but there was a minor issue of soul damage from the monster human hand which is why he didn't use his purple magic when fighting Betty the first time and Betty cause some soul damage which is why Gaster could not teleport and when he was using his small hands only had 6. (also yeah camila did bring up that Gaster could have won if he had know about betty stealing of magic) However his Rage Just broke and he is taking back his power from Papyrus by force and using it to force past the damage in his soul not going to be good long term for either him or Papyrus but notice Papyrus had figured out Gaster was draining his from power part way in and only spoke up because Gaster soul started breaking because he is pushing himself way past his limits , that is what the darkening of the background kind of represents he doesn't see anything but betty the object he must destroy Bette Noire needs magic to regenerate and Undyne destroyed most of her magic in Kumuzila as we called it, so she was dead or to be exact out of magic before that final blast by Gaster, however Hate just needs the host body to act also Hate gains the power of it's host so it used betty fear magic on papyrus Chara took the hate into their souls and overwhelmed it will willpower to make it do what they want so no real fear of it taking over, Betty could not do this and so used magic to suppress it

What happened at the end when Papyrus saw Gaster disintegrate, it was an illusion caused by hatred utilizing Bete's ability to cast illusions. This illusion however was far more potent as it not only made Papyrus see Gaster die but made him feel it as well. Gaster's full power was put on display here and the ability he utilized is called Polychromatism, which uses each of his small hands, both big hands, and his blaster. It is I believe his most powerful ability only accessible when he has access to his full power.

So this episode. Probably the best but also the plot kinda is meh and has some plot holes. Lets go over them. -Undyne not melting without an explanation. -I will talk more in debt about it in another point. -Two locket existing. Its never explained why its not a glich because it should since it wasnt suppossed to be there. -Asriel not ending up in a comah. Its never explained,probably just still to show that the creator hate sans. -Toriel. Man she ended up badly written. -Sans death. This deserve a rant. If a monster gain determination it melts and until than everything is right but Undyne never melted. You could say that maybe it happens only if you are inject with it but the flashback of Undyne melting in the genocide timeline is shown so it still doesnt make sense. Gaining determination in glichtale is like gaining another soul(its shown better in the next episode but it still doesnt make sense no pun intended)and that doesnt melt your soul. Its even show by sans having two colored eyes so its the same. My point is that determination definetelly has some plothole in the serie that were only created because the creator disliked sans. If sans would have survived or if the other characters that gain determination would have died it would have made sense. -Papirus Man if he was dropped. He could have done so much but instead he was benched because of sans being there. Such a waste. -The whole fear only being defeatable by determination. In the end it really wasnt true. They built it up for nothing. -Betty dying. The villain builted to be only defeatable by the main character that we had for entire serie killed like nothing only to let hate be the villain again. Wasted.

Btw this is just a personal opinon, but i hate how much Camilla abuses the ¨Seeing a dead loved one at the brink of death¨ trope, don't get me wrong, it is cool and it can bring closure to characters that otherwise wouldn't get it, however when you have to do it, 3 times back to back on each episode, it just feels empty after a while. But idk i am just rambling rn xD
