I just realized as a younger brother… that’s me… I turned away and came back to be embraced. With my father, and father in heaven

Oh we are owed something Dr. There's something we absolutely deserve. But its nothing nice and nothing no human being would ever want. The terrible just wrath of the Father is what we ALL deserve. But GRACE...

Voddie says he wants to die and be buried in Zambia, he tells a story about parable sons and those who have to go to a far land and leave the land of his father, he calls it a sign of judgment, he then speaks of a famine - and that being a judgment of God, he shared he has a kidney problem...and says that he may have to leave this land and he doesn't want to go. I thank God that God is merciful. to us in whether we run to a foreign land, or stay with the father. GOd has been gracious to Voddie - and allowed him. trials. I am thankful for his words here. 1%, 10%, 50%, 100% he goes for the lost

Someone on Twitter sent me a link to this video and dared me to listen to it. I’ve now listened to it. Pretty disappointing. The story of the prodigal son has multiple applications. It doesn’t have just one. He gets about halfway to there, but not quite yet. All three of these parables are talking about redemption. It is very true, what he said about the oldest son, but that’s not all of it. Those Pharisees and teachers of the law needed to understand the depth of God’s love and grace for his children. These three parables tell a story about redemption and then Jesus lays it all out there for you to understand the entire process. The Son made a decision when he recognized how pathetically bad he was. He turned to his father. By custom, the father could’ve ignored him, sent him away, sent him into town to be punished, even sent them into town to be put to death for what he had done to his father‘s name. But the father was looking for the son and the moment he saw him he runs to him and proclaims. He is his son. He returns him to his rightful place. This is a wonderful story of redemption, it is obvious, Vodie misses it because he is focusing on just one part of the story. note that I’m not saying that he’s wrong on that part. But he’s wrong to only focus on it and say that that is the one of these three stories.
