After watching this video I want to know more about the writing in the Valley of Fear (?). One of my thoughts is could the letters have been left during the time of Joseph or a bit before his time in Egypt. The writing mentions an officer of “Semite” heritage. During the time of Joseph there were people of Semite heritage (I think they were called Hyksos) who had assimilated themselves into the Egyptian society even to the point of becoming Pharaohs. It isn’t to far a stretch to see one of these people being the Officer mentioned in the writing. So, the soldiers or workers could of been Semites. But it’s also possible they could have been part of the people with Moses. It’s a very interesting topic this.

Abraham came from Ur a Chaldean province south of Babylon which is in modern day Iraq. They became the Jews/Hebrews/Israelis because of their covenant with God, which circumcision was the sign of that covenant. Abram God renamed Abraham. That's how the Jewish race was born. After the Dispersion the Jews went all over the world, though there was some mingling with ppl, it was rare because they mostly kept to themselves and kept their identity. Jews in Israel today are from Eastern/Western Europe, though they came from all over the world.

As I understand it, there were three Egyptian alphabets. I read the first writing found was in the upper Nile area. It consisted of a bunch of ivory tiles with inscriptions on them, each suggesting a single simple idea that became a letter. Ie"Ox". This I believe was the first phonetic writing and predated Egyptian writing by several centuries. I think they used this this work out how hieroglyphics were sounded out.

Funnily enough there were no Hebrew slaves. The Hebrews evolved from the Hyksos who became proto-Hebrews who were expelled from Egypt and developed their identity after that. The Hyksos were from the Levant / Phoenicia and their alphabet seems to predate most others and developed into proto-Hebrew.

First ever alphabet, was in Ugarit (modern day Syria) 1550 BCE, this one alphabet did not pass to the Greeks, then the Phoenicians made their own alphabet wish was taken by the Greeks and later into the rest of Europe, but this show tries to make everything Jewish as up until now there is no archaeological finds that proves Jewish presence in ancient Egypt, other than the bible of course wish is not a scientific source!
