I am mowing the lawn, running, doing dishes, driving to/from work, etc. One of the few bands where I refuse to play songs out of album order and must listen to the whole album once started. Each album is fantastic for different reasons, but in my opinion, Lateralus is their magnum opus.

Ticks is about the record label execs. They wanted a short heavy song for radio. So this is what they gave them

Tool is considered an L.A. band where they formed. Maynard was born in Ohio and raised in Michigan. Adam: guitarist is originally from Illinois. Danny: drummer is from Kansas. Justin on Bass is from England.

Tool is fine to listen to any time. I've had it playing in my earbuds while at church worship band practice many times before.

Mostly listen while working out in the shop. One time I drove 1300 miles to visit family, and listed to each tool album, straight through, start to finish. That was nice.

I use Tool for self reflection, it’s the only way I find for myself that works, I’m sure I’m not alone in this. Tool puts me in a calm mental state.

Other things. 🌿🤩 Parabol/Parabola is my favorite 1-2 punch ever. Glad to see you two back after No Quarter. Great thing about Adam playing is that it's he's usually adding atmosphere to complement the song and not break up the song with a typical metal-shredding solo moment.

Sometimes I just lay down in a dark room, sometimes in the gym, sometimes while I’m cooking but mostly I watch reaction videos. I loved yalls reaction and I’m glad you are enjoying Tool. I would love another full album reaction! I suggest 10,000 days or Fear Inoculum. Spiral out my friends 🌀

She likes math you say? The Fibonacci Sequence is 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55 ... The title track relies heavily on this. The rhythm section specifically but the theme and even down to the syllables in the lyrics. "Black 1 And 1 White are 2 All I see 3 In my in-fan-cy 5 Red and yell-ow then came to be - 8 Re-aching out to me - 5 Let's me see - 3" Up and down the spiral see. Pretty cool right? 🤘🤓🤘 Edit: You already knew it too. Cool

I've watched other reaction channels end up crying after listening to the song Lateralus. It's an album that needs your full attention. I listen to this album all the way through because it's all killer and no filler. One of the greatest Metal albums I've ever heard. Production is perfect as are the songs. This just might be a perfect album. If it's not, it's damn close.

RUSH gave the record label 2112 as a F-U for their request for an album with "radio" friendly/length songs and Ticks & Leeches was Tool's response to the label for basically the same request put to them.

People always start with Sober - Live but you guys just rode the spiral 🌀. You can definitely start with Tool - Third eye - Live The performance is amazing. Always gives me so many different emotions. But that would be the proper introduction to what Maynard and boys do! Love your reaction, you guys just go for it.

I do everything to this album! It is my personal greatest album of all time. It helped me change my thinking, releasing my grudges, be patient, live in the present (the past brings depression and the future brings anxiety). The next 3 tracks are called "The Holy Trinity". Disposition (meditate), Reflection (Reflect on my Ego), Triad (crucify my Ego).

Lateralis is such a screw with your mind track. The song talks of not over analyzing and here we are all counting syllables and time signatures and looking for hidden meanings and symbolism. I have to wonder if tool knew this track would so ironic when they created it. 😂

I listen doing tasks or working out but I stop and take a moment to listen when my favourite parts come up.
