I found another short trick to remember X, H .. Y AND K " XTRA HOT YUMMY KARAHI " .... HERE FIRST LETTERS ( X H) (Y K) DENOTE the replacement.. i hope that it might help you to memorize it

Assalamulaikum sir 2:04:33 pr axis of parabola y axis pr hy lkn downward hy - ki wajah sy tw anpy jo chart banaya hy usmein downward y axis parabola mein directix ki ep y = a hy we know that a = -2 tw y = -2 hoga or eq of latus rectum y = -a hoti hy tw y = 2 hoga or end ponits (2a , -a ) (-2a ,-a ) hongye.... Am i right ? agr mein glt hoon tw koi please explain krday

A.O.A sir video mein 2:27:56 per Eqaution of directrix is y=k-a where k is -3 and a is -4 so equation of directrix y=1 nhi hogi ?

Both values are in negative so, they will be added 7 is the correct answer.

@@abdulrehmanbaig.official Equation of directix is y = k - a , y = -3 - (-4) ... a was already in negative and a additional negatives sign was there , thus making it positive and y = 1
