Thanks Toni. The prices have dropped here in Miami. Krull Smith is one of those vendors that have very fair prices. Vicky’s Orchids too. She prices her large orchids as if they were medium sized. I may do a video at her nursery very soon.

Fabulous video! I agree that for a smaller show the abundance of gorgeous blooms presented was exceptional!! I had to show lots of restraint. I didn’t know about the kelp adding red color in certain orchids. Very interesting. Again I always end up learning something new with you! Hope to get together soon! ❤

Actually it’s not the Kelp. I said Iron makes red leaf plants redder. I use Iron in my aquatic plants that have red leaves and the red intensifies. It DOES NOT make the flowers or leaves turn red. lol!!!!!!😂

I bought my first orchid yesterday, a mini one! I love it! Since I live in Central NY, I have to figure out what orchids do well in this climate. I’m going to do more orchid research. I had a mini in my B & B bathroom that was thriving, so a south facing window in a humid area would probably work for my new mini. I’m excited about my little mini, it’s a white one not sure the kind but very cute.

If I want to grow orchids here, I have to grow them inside because they love the Florida climate. I will need a little grow area where I can recreate the tropical climate for a few orchids. Must have a dendrobium.

The new growth was slow at first but it's almost mature now. The variety isn't listed on the tag though. 38:20 Interesting pattern on this cattleya. Maybe it's the Rhyncattleanthe Burana Beauty? 🤔 40:51 After two years of orchid care, I'm already getting tired of growing orchids in pots. I wonder what is the best place to buy mature, mounted ones online? I only have one mini orchid on a mount (Gastrochilus japonicus) and it took six months for the roots to attach to the cork. 43:10 For any seaweed extract, I use 1-2 drops/quarter gallon and stop using it around the beginning of August. I heard refridgerating it can keep it from going bad.

Hi Joe. Yes antílope Dendrobiums are very givin in blooms year round. Orchids in pots are a bit more sensitive than if they’re mounted. Their nature is not in a constraint environment like a pot. Happy growing bud!🤗
