How do you explain to the patient that you want to recommend a new combination drug that might cost $4500 per year, but you may not seen any change in the quality of your life, but we know that you may live a year longer? How do you sell this to the insurance carriers that they should pay for a drug that has no impact on the quality of life? And, most of the patient in this group were stable heart failure patient! Entresto is nothing more than an attempt by Novartis to extend the patent life of Diovan. There is nothing to prove that Entresto is any better than generically available Valsartan.
