The paradise island of Rangiroa is a popular atoll in French Polynesia. We hit him by taking a cruise on the liner Regent Seven Seas Navigator. Actually, the beaches here are beautiful, but not as good as on Bora Bora. The problem is that the seabed is not very comfortable, because it mainly consists of broken corals. The main thing on Rangiroa is a feeling of isolation from the outside world, as well as complete freedom in all respects. The atoll is very large and you will always find a small island that will only be yours for the whole day. Shore and bottom: sand, stones.
The only luxury hotel on Rangiroa is Kia Ora (from $ 500), which also has a branch on a tiny uninhabited island.
All other accommodation options are small family guesthouses near the airport with room rates starting at $ 100 per day. A separate mention is the hotel Punua et Moana, located on a separate large motu.
In the fall of 1999, the 33,000-ton Seven Seas Navigator departed for its first cruise, accommodating 490 passengers. The liner is distinguished by spacious public areas, which ensures a quiet and comfortable rest for all passengers. At the same time, the on-board entertainment program is superior to those on many other ships of the same class. Every evening, guests can choose any of the events: music concerts, Broadway shows, vocal performances, dances, film screenings. By the way, the liner runs the gentleman host program for single women.
The main theater of the liner - Seven Seas Show Lounge - is an amazingly beautiful lounge with excellent visibility from anywhere, including small cozy balconies located on several tiers. The theater hosts bright Broadway productions every night, films are shown, and lectures are given on the places that are visited during the cruise.
On board there is also a small lounge - Navigator Lounge, where guests are invited to drink cocktails before dinner and enjoy live music or a small performance.
Galileo’s Lounge is one of the few really noisy places on the Seven Seas Navigator. This is a very popular club with a bar and dance floor. During the day, concerts and performances by artists of various genres are held here, and in the evening and at night incendiary discos are organized.
There is also a bright and comfortable library, working around the clock, an Internet center with modern computers, a casino where all the most popular gambling games are presented, as well as a gallery of boutiques and a photo studio.
Meals on the liner are organized according to the free landing system. The main restaurant is the elegant Compass Rose, where red or white wine is required for dinner. All staff are well aware of the menu and will always help with the choice of dishes and the selection of a specific wine variety. For lunch or dinner, you can also in one of two alternative restaurants - Prime 7, which serves great steaks and all kinds of seafood, or La Veranda. La Veranda is open buffet style for breakfast and lunch, and in the evenings turns into the magnificent Italian restaurant Sette Mari.
Another restaurant is Pool Grill, located on an open deck by the pool. Here on the menu are hamburgers. hot dogs, sandwiches, salads and side dishes. In fine weather, some of the routes host exclusive barbecue fish lunches and grill dinners.
90% of the liner's cabins have balconies. All cabins are equipped with huge dressing rooms, bathrooms with full-size bathtubs and marble trim, balcony furniture. After the last renovation of the liner, all cabins were updated: new high-quality furniture was delivered, and the decoration was changed. Please note that in 2015 the company introduced a new unique service on its cruises: guests of the Master, Grand, Navigator, Penthouse and Concierge suites receive a free Internet package lasting up to 500 minutes.
