I wish you had covered more of the shipwreck museum. I can't recommend that place highly enough and you really should stop by when you are in the UP.

Glad it was helpful! I also have a travel channel with more videos about Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. Here's the Michigan playlist: kzbin.info/aero/PLwIiFwTgkQ_uGMl2sWV-RNPBMYHbnlYK7 We are in the UP through mid September. Ironically we are staying at Tahquamenon Falls SP right now and will be here through the end of August.

Hey guys looks like you had a great trip despite the naff conditions for photographing the falls and forgetting the tripod ! You make a great duo especially when Michelle takes over a la Joanna ha ha ! Paradise looked a great choice and a popular spot by the water . One thing I do enjoy when out photographing is meeting people (although I don’t often bump into many at sunrise at the top of a mountain!) Always good to chat and I must get some cards printed too ! Loved the museum and all its artefacts too. Have a great weekend and hope you both had a fab time 👍🏻

Thanks, Andrew. It was a great, and needed, quick getaway. I see more travel vlogging in our future. We really have a ball traveling, filming, and putting these together. Glad to hear it comes through in the final product.

So funny thing, I was watching this earlier today on my phone whilst I was cleaning the kitchen. It got to the point where you said 'absolutely the worst lighting conditions......' and my phone went completely black. I honestly thought it was a James Fisher prank! Took me about 20 seconds to decide it must be my phone - and it was, the battery had given out. So I watched as a game of two halves. Looks like you both a great time.....and a great burger. Nice to see some of the sights of Paradise and Whitefish

Great video Jim! I love seeing my old state again. So beautiful in the summer, especially the UP! Great shots at Taq Falls in tough shooting conditions. Those are my fav waterfalls I've ever been to. JoAnna loves that she has a reputation of a "camera stealer" and appreciates the recognition of her skills! The women are always more popular Jim! Loved seeing the Shipwreck Museum again, one of the few museums I've actually enjoyed. Great video Jim and Michelle, we really enjoyed it! Have a great 4th of July weekend!

Another great travel vlog James, looks like you and Michelle had a great time. That's some volume of water running over those falls! The Fuji did well with the long exposures and no tripod, that goodness for Image Stabilisation - I had similar conditions in my last vlog, no proper tripod, just a small vlogging tripod and had to balance it on the railings to get a shot.
@VintageInsightPhotography3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Andrew. I really appreciate you watching and commenting. The lighting was the absolute worst! I only shared that segment to show off the OIS in that lens. A handheld shot like that was impossible before image stabilization. I have a real love/hate relationship with modern lenses, but this is definitely one of the “love” features! Take care and keep enjoying life.

@@VintageInsightPhotography yeah IS is one of the reasons I love the FZ82 I use occasionally. Being able to shoot at 1/8th of a second hand held is amazing. Back in my film days anything under 1/60th was out.

The Amish are known for keeping flaws in their work, because only God is perfect. I knew you would be the one to spot that. It helps me know who’s really watching. 😉 I intentionally wanted to see how good the OIS was in that situation. I was pretty impressed. The Shipwreck Museum is amazing, and very moving.
