Fun fact. The upper peninsula was granted to Michigan by congress after the Toledo War, the war between Ohio and Michigan for the now Toledo "Ohio" region. My City of Toledo ohio, glass city, Holy Toledo was almost a part of Michigan. 😊 good day 🫡

Today learning about Edmund Fitzgerald ship wreck was the first time i heard about it. When it happened our family did not own Tv . I was a teenager. So sad. I thought the museum was a great tribute and presented artifacts and the story well. Thanks for sharing!

This is my stomping grounds guys. I"m a YOOPER proud and true. So I thought I seen you in Esky but not sure. Yes I get teased by my fam who live in the city but I travel as much of you guys (well almost) and at the end of the day I come home and feel safe plus in the winter I have a warm fireplace, a sauna and make the most of it. Thank you both for doing our little peace of heaven in a wonderful, respectful way, it means a lot to us yoopers up here. Be safe, always remember, we are not guaranteed a tmr and it is those here now who need us most cause those in heaven are well off. I love watching you guys go to all the places we went to just two years ago. I ran into you two at Passholder's Day at Dollywood and was telling you that my family is all from the UP. Love the UP. We sure did enjoy our visit to Whitefish Point. The shipwreck numbers in that area is so high. It is too bad you didn't get to tour Pictured Rocks. Glad you are going to Sault Sainte Marie. We really enjoyed the locks, very interesting to witness.

Loving these Michigan videos! I am in Kenosha but have not been to upper Michigan. Love the history of the Great Lakes and the ships. Going to look into when the Mackinaw bridge was built. I so want to go to the Grand Hotel!

I remember Gordon Lightfoot’s (rest in peace) song about the Edmund Fitzgerald , when it came out on his album back in the 70’s. Great song , yet so sad. Beautiful scenery and cool seeing the black bears off the side of the road. Loving your road-trip. Can’t wait for the next vlog

Years ago we would go to Paradise for week to go snowmobiling from central Indiana. There was a bar that the snow so deep you could ride a snowmobile on the roof. When you would use the phone booth you had to step down to get in because the snow was so deep.

You both should go to split rock light house in Northern MN in November when they have the Edmond Fitzgerald ship wreck anniversary its very somber but a great ceremony I think you might enjoy and look at the lighthouse tour .

Visit Duluth mn if you ever get the chance and stay in canal Park. The inn on Lake superior is the best spot to stay with access to the Lakewalk and centralized attractions food and shopping you'll love it there 😊

Take 123 From Tahquamenon Falls West to CR 500 then CR 412 & go to Crisp Point Lighthouse. The drive is as much an adventure as the destination. Just finished up a 2 week trip in that area of Two Hearted River!

My husband and I walked the Labor Day Bridge walk a few years ago and they give you a certificate at the end of your walk. That was back when you walked the entire way across. Now they changed it to walk half way, turn around and go back. It took the fun out of it for me.
