Thanks for the tour guys. In '70's our family would holiday there with grandies. A daily walk from paradise Island down Cavill to the surf beach - no hi rise. Us kids loved it. It's no longer that place but something else. The thirst for a less commercial culture/environment preferred. Least I know what to expect if I do travel to Surfers (from Victoria AU)

Hello Kim, My family originally come from Bruny Island and my grandmother (Eileen Burnett) and great grandfather and mother (Joseph & Ellen (nell) Johnston nee whayman) are buried in the Barnes Bay cemetery, when back we would love to stay… Mr B…👍

The Gold Coast is the Aussie version of Vegas. Glitzy at night, a bit tacky but needs a visit every now and then. I do like the Versace hotel.

Thankxxx for your tour of The Goldie..We are from Ipswich and stay in Wyndam in Surfers. We love the beach..i come home will lots of shells and make cool things with them.
