Great video! The vehicle looks great, nothing overkill very stylish and functional. It always pays do do your research before spending huge dollars on modifications. I agree with getting the mods you want and need, not what everyone else thinks you should have! I've just done a heap of mods to my 2012 Colorado. The mods that I wanted! I went for Falken Wildpeak AT3 tyres as I had then on my previous Hilux and was extremely happy with them. They are pretty easy to buy anywhere if I damage one but I'm not sure how you'll go if you need to replace yours. Recovery gear is essential and having the ability to self recover is peace of mind when remote traveling. I carry multiple snatch straps and I only use the older ones to recover other people's vehicles if they don't have anything and save the good gear for my recovery! I look forward to seeing your next video so please keep them coming.

G’day just wondering will be upgrading my Nav D40 to accommodate the van we have bought, looking at the rogue but they all have the ugly wheel arch flares but yours has the nice clean lines without them, can you get them without? Love your channel keep up the great content and can’t wait for you to get back on the road 👍

I like watching your videos as you both are so ‘real’ and provide some good info. With mods, I drive a Fortuner and tow a 2.5tonne van. Same engine and trans as your Hilux, I suggest a trans cooler as the torque converter doesn’t easily lock in third and the trans will drop down from fourth pretty quick on a hill of any decent grade. Keep the videos coming and you pair stay safe too🙂

Everything looks nice, but what about Toyota's warranty? Toyota only allows modifications with accessories and original Toyota parts. It is clearly stated that Toyota withdraws all warranty claims due to non-compliance with the warranty agreement. After each service at Toyota, I receive a reminder about the Toyota warranty, aftermarket accessories, and non-genuine parts. I encountered this problem while selecting and installing a bullbar. Toyota suggested that if I install a non-original bullbar, such as an ARB, I will lose the warranty if the suspension is damaged or in any other accident. I recommend the Auto Expert John Cadogan KZbin channel.

The thing you forgot about what about fuel ⛽ especially for towing in remote areas I would highly recommend long-range automotive fuel tanks as they are made out of steel and not plastic you already see what happens to plastic jerry cans in extreme temperatures. I myself have been into a town called lake menindee in outback New South Wales weather temperatures one year got to 58C in the shade that was around about 2008 when me and my son were up there Long Range automotive they are a Melbourne based Lilydale company Australian owned design and made they have dealer networks in Queensland hope this helps

@@MrB_GDA On that subject , I have an aluminium long range tank in my dual cab , it's 140 litres and a previous owner put a considerable ding in one front lower corner across 3 lines of weld , no cracks , no leaks , I was impressed . Lighter than steel.

Head to Berrima Diesel for a towing remap, ours is now better towing and 1.5l better economy towing 2.4t (similar powerup to south african Hiluxes as Toyota does as standard). Fit another diesel fuel filter. Buy a heap of mudflap rubber and enlarge width by 30mm and length both front and rear and bugger all flicking stones and mud all over van (no stupid stomper required). Diff drop is a con, upper control arms absolutely required. 18inch tyres are a bugger to get, 17's are 500% more readily available and you could have gone to 70% profile which is better for touring in so many ways. An iCheck tpms is decent add on, new model is amazingly better than others I have used and seen. Finally your tub will fill up with dust, go buy a Toyota anti dust kit for tailgate and use gorilla tape to tape all vents inside up under top edge of tub and the drain holes under 'all' the floor ribs at front of tub and no more dust. I like your Sony radio.

Hi guys.whats the upper control arms going to do?cheers
@MrB_GDA
@MrB_GDA Күн бұрын
Hi Peter thanks for the question… Off-roading places stress on suspension components, and a stronger control arm can handle the rigors of the trail. Replacing the stock control arms with an aftermarket control arm designed for lifted vehicles will not only last longer but will help to strengthen the entire suspension system.

Great set up. Hoops have always been designed to crumble the last 10 years, The days of the 1970s '80s early '90s bull bar are long on. My friends Ford Ranger was having issues with overheating, had a few dramas and Ford would not honour the warranty because he had an aftermarket loop bar with spotlights and Ford said it was causing the overheating issues. If you ever get a loop bar on any vehicle make sure it's through the dealership. Lot of majority dealerships now go through ARB, tjm etc. at least it's under warranty then. End of the day you hit a kangaroo doing 100 clicks. Doesn't matter what bar ir loop you have. You're getting a new one and a new Bonnet and a new grill and new spotlights etc. Nice video. Keep it up. Cheers
