Great video. Thanks for the shout out (link) to our Paddle to the Fire video a few years ago. My research group has been studying the impact and recovery of this fire since 2019 and it is great to have the fire communicated through video like you have done here. Cheers!

YAY, You're back with yet another episode of the most peaceful, beautiful and fun film and photography on KZbin, in my humble opinion. I must say, at the beginning of the film, when you returned to a fire damaged French River and spotted your favorite camping site now burned to the point of not being useable, I had to fight tears. I found it incredibly sad to see such devastation, from beauty to ugliness in a flash. Still, nature continues to sing and islands of color remain in the grey. Hope springs eternal. Thank you so much for an enjoyable 40+ minutes. I look forward to your next one.
@JasonIrwinTumblehome Жыл бұрын
yeah it was kind of shocking in the moment... I cant imagine losing a home or property to fire... hard enough losing a fav camp spot! Some of the pines in that area were really old. They weren't large trees but had incredible twists and gnarly growth patterns due to the windy / rocky conditions. I've spent hours taking photos of the wild root growth of those trees. It's ok though, probably necessary in some regards.

I really enjoyed your video that showcased how the simple sights and sounds of Nature can soothe our souls. One small suggestion. As the spring peepers, chickadees, yellow-rumped warblers, and white-throated sparrows were prominent, it would have been useful to put a caption up when they sang. Great work.
