The reason why they did quit now is be cause they couldn't find enough people from Finland that were good enough and at the same time able to commit so much time to the game during an raid tier, heard they had 7 out of 22 players currently that could commit to it. So they decided it's better not to force it, not be cause they lost 2 tiers to Method.

It sucks that Cataclysm as a whole sucked because the final bosses of each raid were epic in their own sense. MOP kind of lost that epic feeling in boss fights. Except for the fight with Lei Shen the Thunder King. But yeah Cataclysm easily had the most epic boss fights. I mean this one for example. This fight takes place in THE SKY. I mean how awesome is that?

shaardy qt Algalon was before they became a top guild, deathwing was due to the bans, cho gall wasn't the last boss and archi was "unfair" because method used an op macro. Remember that the guy i responded to said that leaving people out for the first phase was cheating

+tompatompsson method didnt use a macro, they used a WA. thats not unfair at all, paragon lost absolutly deserved. Algalon was their 1st raidtier were they were famous, they got world 2nd i think. And they also got banned completly justified. im not a method fanboy, bith guilds deserve their spot in wow history, but the Statement that they never lost is just completly untrue.

PBG Dave While my guild wasn't able to down Al'akir even on normal and we only got 2 bosses down heroic (halfus and chimeron) i completely agree. So much fun in every raid and actually a challenge. this tier we're on now at least in foundry is pretty good as well but i'll always cherish Blackwing Descent and Bastion of Twilight!

Aaron Bachle i remember us struggling like crazy because we only formed in T10 so just getting 10 competent raiders together was a pain. we still had the dead weight we used to form the guild in the first place, but i remember after weeks of ballache we got normal nef/hc halfus down in same night and hc halfus was a 2 shot which was amazing. i remember how stupidly overtuned halfus was on normal 10 man in first week or 2. you literally oomed after 10 seconds on healing. broken

@borsfall do note that it isnt directly on the bar ... there's a little space between the spells (on the far left there 2sets of 3 buttons then a little space ... that's where the actual actionbar starts :D so it may look like its on the 1st Actionbar , they're not they are on a different one :D

This is one EPIC battle, in it's true meaning, with one hell of an epic performance as well as some incredible footage and editing - as well as a great soundtrack! This is the true, final boss of Cataclysm. I couldn't care less about Deathwang's adds dying on Heroic Mode. Most likely the best Raid Video that i've seen and extremely few even come close to K3rp's (Last Resort) standard. Very well done! Notice the silence up until the very last hp. That's a lot of discipline right there.

@TheTerrorclaus Blizzard already hotfixed the amount of damage and the duration of the lightning. That was a huge reason Paragon kept people out at the start. Healers not having to deal with extra damage and no form of enrage in the first phase made it better to have less people fighting than having to deal with the mechanics as they were. It didn't speed the encounter up, it didn't trivialize the encounter, and Blizzard has since fixed the need to have people sit out in phase one.

I once heard Rogerbrown talking about how shocked everyone was for this boss in particular, because p1 was so broken that everyone just assumed that they would wait until a hotfix to continue progging, and back then the top guilds were very secretive so nobody even knew that Paragon had discovered a way to solve p1 let alone the entire fight

The disengage was 'epic' because it was timed perfectly so that he would be pushed off by Wind Burst and angled perfectly so that he would land right behind the passing tornado Squall Line. Pretty fucking awesome.

@williewobbler79 Hunter is me Devai. It's not flask of the winds its elixir of cobra and blue elixir is prismatic (90 resistance). Shaman drops mana tide totem so we dont have NR resistance from totem so therefore i pop aspect of the wild to gain nature resistance aura, after manatide is used ill go back to fox

Paragon may have killed these encounters pre-nerf or pre-fix -or whatever you want to call it-but that does not mean that they don't have to go back in and adjust their WORLD FIRST strats to kill the encounter again. Just because they killed it once doesnt mean it's a cakewalk the next time, or the third time, and with encounters changing right underneath them, I think you have to hand it to them for being such good sports about it.

Very true. But quickly compensates out that there is a lot less room for fuck up. I guess if you can very easily organize people, 25 man is easier. But if you are better at complete focus and can do something without error, 10 man becomes the easier one. Currently i'm both :3
