I think if anybody ticks the Park Assist option on any car, it should direct them to a driver training centre, where they learn how to park! 😀 Am I the only person who hates adaptive cruise control in flowing traffic? Every car I driven with it, I've ended up switching it off - each wingnut that pulls in front of you causes the car to slow and before long you end up 5 miles back down the road from where you should be, doing 45mph! 🤣

Brilliant comment I love this. So when you turn it off and your driving and in total control (probably because you’re so awesome at driving) when some wingnut pulls out in front of you you just ignore it and continue to accelerate? Would love to know which section in the AIM manual that is.

@dannyarcher No, you read the road (and motorists), better than a camera. So you lift and coast and then resume speed once said wingnut pulls back in. (I think the first bit is contained within the IAM book of greatness, possibly worded slightly differently!) Adaptive cruise seems to take so long to respond that the next wingnut pulls in front of you, causing the car to jam the brakes on again. And again. And... I find auto main beam assist similarly useless. The human eye detects oncoming headlights far quicker (or should do). I'd rather people were taught to read & anticipate movements better, rather than rely on tech that works in a lab, tis all. Bit like the IAM aims for! 😁

How does it compare to the A4 I'm considering to buy both cars but I can't choose between the two. Is the A4 more comfortable and the A5 more sporty?

They’re both comfortable and to drive i’d say that they’re so similar you wouldn’t notice a difference.
