I love the new editing! so good! I have Detour Noir and recently got Al Haramain Amber Oud Exclusif Bleu. Both are Layton clones. Let me tell you, Amber Oud is about 99.8% Layton. Even more so than Detour Noir. Really good stuff.

Lattafa Asad- smells similar to Sauvage Elixir with very good perfomance and projection. Great for every ocasion except hot summer days (dont overspray it if you plan to use it as an office/work frag, people will hate you). Lattafa Khamrah - similar to Angel's Share, good longevity and projection, good for dates and colder days. Afnan 9PM - similar to Ultramale, great longevity and projection, excellent for everything except really hot weather (you could try even then, just be carefull not to overspray, cause its sweetnes can be overpowering, same advice goes if you plan to wear it to the office).

Armaf Saphire is a great substitute for those who like Invictus Aqua 2016. It doesn't last long, I get 4 hours max but just decant it. It does smell maybe 80% of the 2016 version with that powder note. Lattafa Fakhar is a good substitute for YSL Y EDP, more spicy but it is nice.

Great video and useful suggestions! I have Rochas L'Homme and Armaf Odyssey too. Those are so great for the price! Odyssey is blow me away with how good it is. I tried to get one for months, but I couldn't find it, but not so long ago I finally get one in my hand and this is a new batch. (Mine is 2023.01 and made it in France) For me is a mix of Dior Homme Intense and Bvlgari Man in Black because of the spiciness.

Club Black is great but sadly it is not that cheap anymore. In my opinion Encre Noir is deserved to be in this list; the quality is way higher than the price (ofc I heard the new batches are not good anymore) basically it's a cheap niche fragrance! Qaed Al Fursan is also very great for the price. Oh and I almost forgot to mention "Paula's Ibiza" wow!

More seriously I would say Chopard "Oud Malaky" (even the bottle looks luxurious). Not my favorite scent profile but it smells way more expensive than it is.

Please try Lattafa Rave now. It's the best budget party fragrance, and the best budget fragrance in general, imho. Its bottle, longevity and projection is even better than Qaaed Al Fursan.

Great selection! Are there any objective criteria that make fragrances smell expensive vs. cheap (not in terms of price of ingredients but perceived smell)? E.g., the combination of certain notes?

I don't think there's a gauge. It's just kind of how natural smelling they are comparatively to other synthetically crafted perfumes. I think if you smell something cheap you know it's cheap. At least I do. Smelling an adidas fragrance versus in aqua di gio. You can really smell the difference. I'm not going to pretend like I know what perfumery is or how it works. But I just judge it from the smell and how it appears to me. I am no professional. 🤣

Great list! I have most of these and agree. I might have to check into fire your desire. I got turned off of Paris Corner after I tried their Cedrat Boise clone, Cedrat Essence. That stuff literally lasts like 45 minutes on me. I now own Cedrat Boise and I have to say that they did get very close scent wise. But the longevity is very bad. Haha unfortunately my Cedrat Boise is far from a beast mode scent too. Might have to upgrade to Intense.

I use my Bentley For Men pretty much year around(minus the dead/hottest days of summer of course)and ALWAYS loved it HOWEVER...those chilly fall/spring bonfire type nights I'm out by the bonfire with the family.... THOSE are the typa nights I opt for Bentley Intense due to that incense note just somehow blending in PERFECTLY when that bonfire smoke hits it every now and then..BOTH great fragrances for SURE!!

Great list! A+ for being one of maybe 3 reviewers who pronounces Rochas correctly lol. I love L'homme for it's easy versatility. Two great cheapies are Jaguar Classic Black and Armaf Hunter (not Intense, just "Hunter"). Everyone I've ever had smell them? Liked them, and was shocked by the price. I suggest them often, but typically it's like talking to my wife... Deaf ears 🤣🤣🤣

I disagree abercrombie and fitch smells very very very similar to invictus aqua not YSL Y. If you want something like YSL Y go for jimmy choo aqua
