Thanks so much for posting this. Subscribed. Got this down in about 20 minutes to half an hour. Now I'm just working on fluency and speed. To anyone reading, try watching at half speed.

As far as getting to the point where you can Transcribe what you hear off your favorite albums, just takes time bruh, three years ago my ear was terrible but with countless hours of just overloading myself with music and trying to figure it out you start to see chord patterns and theory patterns in different genres and once you play all these chords so any times you just start becoming more and more familiar with them, which I turns allows you to hear more and more

@Mike Post appreciate you checking out the videos , no easy way to really approach this genre of music because it is such. Hybrid of Jazz, NeoSoul, and R&B and stride. For starters though the sounds you looking for or hear a lot of has to do with voicings and extensions. Try playing around with minor 9s11s 13s and rootless voicings. Those would help you establish a foundational tone. Then you can dive into what is really going on in the music

ParaguayanNeo Thanks for the help. I understand there's obviously no shortcut to achieving this sound.. but I'll definitely looking into those voicings. Thanks again and have a great day!

Hey man, love your covers, I was wondering if you could so "So Beautiful". I've tried my best to list it from ear, but I can't seem to get the third chord right. Thanks!
@Phantm2239 жыл бұрын
+BenBistro004 Yo bro, I see no one has responded but it's simply an A minor chord with the 9th (B) added giving it that distinct sound so: A E/ G B C D

@tjjuicefast I understand what you're saying, but I also want to encourage peoe to use their ear and build their ear, I play the stuff slower than the recordings and try to pass on chords so people can see chord shapes and techniques if they are struggling to hear it , I will def in the future break it down slower.
@UKMyron8 жыл бұрын
thanks. really good playing - would be great if you slow things down a bit and perhaps talk us through the notes, for people like me who haven't been playing that long. i cant see what your fingers are doing all the time. thanks for the tut though
