This is probably the better way to do it because going in nose first gets you out of traffic. Every single time I go to parallel park, indicators on and everything, I align with the car in front to back up, but people always drive up right behind me and then I have to give up and leave. No one waits for anyone to parallel park by backing into the space, unfortunately :\

I think I had to park like this in driving school just once and I had so much fucking space it was okay, but never truly learned it. And now after getting my licence last week I just drove with my father who told me to park this way and I was actually planning to back up, but no I had to do it his way and I completely forgot which way is which and how to even park, like ... wtf long story short, this was helpful because all my father says is "look at your mirrors" and "you should know this" .....

In my opinion, this is how we should parallel park our cars. Yes, it may takes more space, but the fact that you don't reverse your car to get yourself between two parked cars from a road worth the extra space. After all, if you didn't skip reading the highway code and read only what you need to know for getting your license, it's suggested that you shouldn't be reversing your car in a road, if there are any alternatives to avoid it.

@ConduiteFacile6 жыл бұрын
If the car behind is closer, you should the park the normal way, reversing. Search for "parallel parking" on my channel. I have lots of videos on that.
@Matticitt7 жыл бұрын
Two things: 1. That 'half the bumper of the car in front' isn't really a great tip as there are different cars out there. In my car for example I can move forward to the point I don't see the bumper at all and still leave quite a gap between cars. 2. You don't need twice the space or backing up if the sidewalk isn't raised. I don't know how often that's the case in Canada, but where I live many parking spots don't have any high curbs near them.
@ConduiteFacile7 жыл бұрын
1-Bumpers: If cars are the same sizes 2-You shouldn't step on the sidewalks anyway, even if they're low.

When parking in tight spots, you have to go the usual way, which is reversing. It'll be extremely complicated to park in a tight spot going forward. Here's a video on tight parking, the usual way: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXnXkIeqqNGWp9k

Question: when pulling out do you push the gas or just ease off the brake then push the gas
@joelmcleod65215 жыл бұрын
Ease off break. If car is moving slowly out of space, thats a good thing. Then when u are clear of any obstacles, you can slightly ease on gas to accelarate.

It is different for every car yes. 3-5k in the upper is a bit high. 1-1.5 in the lower is good.
