Physics Ninja looks at the parallel RC circuit. In this case the voltage is AC as opposed to DC like in my older video. The voltage across each element is found and also the current in each branch. Phasor diagrams are used to add voltages and currents.

Thank you very much for your contribution! If there is an AC source is Zc always depicted as an imaginary number (1/iωC)?

Capacitors and inductors will have imaginary impedance but resistors will be real.

At about 9 minutes you have the real and the imaginary parts. Shouldn't the imaginary part be "R2(-iwR2C)" - you have -wR2C. Even if you are not listing "i" because it's in the "imaginary part" bit, isn't there an R2 squared? I'm just barely following, but I think that it should be squared. Maybe you'll square it in a bit? I'll continue watching now.

Yes, the R2 should be squared. I think the numerical values will be ok (fingers crossed). but I forgot the squared term for the algebraic part. Good catch

Can't you just take the rootsquared of (xc + R2) squered and
