I wonder how you set up your mic better than the last sound test, I have these bassy sound that I cannot eliminate, that you did here. Nice changes, really!

Thanks for the compliments! The most fundamental change here was that I got a microphone arm, and I attached it to a side table, which meant that there was nothing connecting the microphone to the table that was being typed on. From what I've seen from other KZbinrs, this is usually where the vibrations and deep, bassy sounds come from: when the microphone is somehow connected to or is sitting on the desk. Hope this helps you!

how does this compare to other 60's?
@robloxaddict342 жыл бұрын
i haven't had much experience with other boards, but this is honestly just right for me. not too stiff, a small amount of bounce, and it feels great. i think the only thing i dont like about it is that it doesn't sound as nice with top mount, which is a mount that i've wanted to try in boards but can't really here since it isn't as good. other than that, it's absolutely great.

How long does it take to break-in switches?
@robloxaddict342 жыл бұрын
what i did for the breaking in process was break in stock mx browns for 7 minutes each on the massage gun, making sure to move the bit of the massage gun around the stem from time to time to make sure that as many angles as possible are hit. this led to a big difference, but i also found that just using the switches after they were lubed broke them in even more. by the end of it, before i ended up trading this board off, they felt really smooth, i would say close to pewters in terms of smoothness on some of the most broken in switches. and overall, it was really good, too.

@@robloxaddict34 in terms of regular usage, about 3 hours of daily gaming (estimated 30 minutes of typing tests as warm-up). I think I'd break in my switches in 2 months or so.

@@robloxaddict34 have you used tactiles? The common problem I've seen with tactiles is the leaf ping. Do you think breaking it in would eliminate leaf ping? I'm using aflion carrots, you can check out my build here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nprMqIyErKaseqc

@@vince9784 this is a pretty fair estimate i think for breaking in switches to the point of fully becoming smooth! although i wasn't really watching too closely when it came to how long i was doing things during the break-in period, i probably did a lot more typing (i have around 400 hours on monkeytype), and maybe a little more gaming depending on the day.
@robloxaddict342 жыл бұрын
@@vince9784 also, im not much of a tactile user since i find that the trend towards heavier tactiles is tiring for my fingers and my typing style, but the few that i have used don't seem to have much leaf ping since they're lubed. re
