I feel so bad for this lonely man, missing his children. Hopefully you will do a follow up on him. I hope they get back together. Clearly he still loves her and why wouldn't she love the father of her children. Appears as a good looking genuine caring man. To become an EMT paramedic, you have to care about the life and well being of strangers. Wow. What a man. If love is still there, then the relationship is worth saving. Heartbreaking for the children. They deserve better. They derserve both parents. Divorce destroys kids. They think it is their fault. Again, I hope they get back together

I just watched this and immediately went to the comments. Something is truly off. The show is to inspire people. He avoided the how questions by using his family situation. I didn't understand the need for armed security guards. Why is his why so broke if she has custody and he's paying support for three kids. The wife should most definitely not be broke. Something about this entire situation was off.

I can totally see how you and others could see that. And my message in all this was for people to understand that struggle and to always choose family over wealth. Which sometimes it’s not as easy as it sounds when someone is so focused in the career thinking that is what they are trying to do to give their family the best life possible. But like me, I lost the most important thing in the process of trying to give them the world. Probably won’t sense to someone like you. But I’m just glad this gave me an opportunity to connect with people to guide the people going through those same struggles that I faced…. Thank you for your kind and uplifting words. I don't understand or accept the reasons for their divorce. It seems they divorced bc all of his time was spent working, if I am not mistaken. Anyway I find that appalling. If she divorced him bc he spent too much time focused on work, then a divorce is going to separate them even more. It doesn't make sense. There has to be an another reason. Then the total disregard for the children is the most selfish act! To destroy children's lives bc of your non existence self created problems is the epitome of arrogance. What a shallow self serving cold blooded person that says I only care about myself. Those children could be scarred for the rest of their lives. Divorce does that to children. This divorce is a joke to the women in real dangerous domestic violence homes. She was not being harmed or had a drunk/druggie threatening her. She just walked away. The divorce that is granted bc of irreconcilable differences should be re-evaluated. Surely after a year of mediation and counseling they could work out differences. Courts should make it a requirement. I don't favor government intervention anywhere, it's just the children are more important here. Those that don't agree are lazy and don't love and care to begin with. Staying together is too much work for them. Just let the lawyers do it all. Those people have more money than sense. Back in the 70s when divorce exploded in America, everyone was running around saying: "Don't stay together for the kids. Do only what makes you feel good. Don't stay together for the kids." After years of societal break down, a renowned psych doctor comes out and says: "What better reason is there to stay together, than the kids. It is more damaging than drugs and gangs for children to grown up without a father, a proper role model." This is another example of a stupid divorce. Instead of giving her money the better outcome I was hoping for was reconciliation. Sad. Family unity is the most important thing.
