Another Meytal cover is here and my first super high-quality, baller status EVER 4K video!
I think it came out pretty awesome, I really dig the new camera crew, they brought so much gear so we were able to throw in some new angles. Let me know what you think, couldn’t decide if seeing the camera man is super creepy or kinda cool. 🕵
Regarding the drum part, I messed up the coolest part of the song by playing it wrong, super bummed about that.. when learning it I looped the part endlessly and still couldn’t quite be sure about it, so I researched it, checked out dif ppl's drum covers and live performances too.. I think the original drummer of this song was replaced at some point so it was a bit confusing. I def hear floor toms in the part but I haven’t been able to find proof to support that. At the end of it I decided to stick to my guns and throw those in there but I ended up doing it all wrong, the little hi-hat opening is in the wrong freakin place and it sounds totally off. Do you guys even know which part I’m talking about or am I just rambling at this point? haha. well shit, never mind, I guess it doesn’t really matter at this point.

Dude, you are truly a bad ass! And the "where's my sticks?" off-the-cuff humor, lol. I can't help but smile watching you! You remind me of the first time I ever saw a drummer using a china symbol. I was twenty-ish and the band was called Malice in Wonderland. A friend of mine knew somebody in that local band and they had this tiny chick drummer with long coal-black hair that had this explosive energy! She played with so much heart, man, I fell in love with that little drummer girl that night. 😍 Not even lying, lol. But I never was able to find or see that band again. I swear to you, though, man, it was like the entire band was centered around her because she played with such heart and expolsive energy! I will never forget that night. But that is definitely the way you play. A good band starts with a great drummer. And a great drummer starts with a heart for the music and the part. And your energy is electric, pardon the pun! Anyway, hopefully that's not too much fawning over you. I'd throw a drumstick at you or catch yours, lol, but you ain't her so my words will have to suffice. 😁

I must admit, the two of my favourite sections (though the second favourite is sometimes the ending of my first favourite section)... 1/. Really difficult ultra fast drumming strikes, complete with; 2/. Throwing your body to the music coinciding with the conclusion of a difficult ultra fast drum striking section especially when it ends with her hair over her head, then throws her head back with her long hair going airborne landing in its right place. I can see the emotion. I just love it - mind you, I really love it all also.. especially those loud double struck drum strikes! Just SO SO POWERFUL!
