🎸 Dive into the vibrant history of Paramore, the powerhouse band that emerged from humble beginnings to become a global musical sensation! 🌟
Founded in 2004 in Franklin, Tennessee, Paramore began as a small garage band with lead vocalist Hayley Williams, guitarist Josh Farro, drummer Zac Farro, bassist Jeremy Davis, and guitarist Jason Bynum. Their infectious energy and unique sound quickly gained attention in the local music scene.
Paramore's debut album, "All We Know Is Falling," marked their entry into the mainstream in 2005. The album showcased their dynamic mix of pop-punk and alternative rock, with hits like "Pressure" and "Emergency," laying the foundation for their future success.
Facing the departure of members Jason Bynum and Jeremy Davis, Paramore demonstrated resilience with the release of "Riot!" in 2007. The album featured the chart-topping single "Misery Business," solidifying their status as a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
"Brand New Eyes" showcased Paramore's growth as musicians, with Hayley Williams's powerful vocals leading the way. Hits like "Ignorance" and "The Only Exception" brought critical acclaim and a more mature sound to their repertoire.
The self-titled album "Paramore" marked a new era for the band, featuring a synth-pop and new wave influence. The Grammy-winning single "Ain't It Fun" became their highest-charting song, solidifying Paramore's place in the pop-rock genre.
"After Laughter" showcased Paramore's willingness to experiment with their sound, incorporating elements of new wave and synth-pop. The album's lead single, "Hard Times," brought a fresh and vibrant energy to their discography.
Paramore's legacy continues to thrive, with the band navigating changes and evolving while remaining true to their roots. As of 2021, the group is actively pursuing solo projects, leaving fans eagerly anticipating their next collective endeavor.

I remember when Riot came out and thinking these guys have a really good sound. That album was fantastic with the majority of the songs having the potential to be hits if the studios had chosen to promote them that way. That was also the time when the merest mention of a band having Christian leanings was a death warrant, and it wouldn't matter if they weren't preachy or a true christian band. Personally I'm not religious and never gave a damn what anyone believed or did, but a knew what sounded good and williams and the band were it. Williams is still on my favorite singers list despite the solo adventure that was less than bad.

Hayley Williams and Paramore have cited Geddy Lee and Rush as one of their influences, according to numerous sources. You can hear the Geddy/Rush influence on their prog-rock sounding hit "The News" from their most recent album. You also hear a bit of Geddy/Rush in their hit song from the Twilight series "Decode."

There's something I noticed about that explosion of emo-tinged bands in the 2000s with groups like Dashboard Confessional, Jimmy Eat World, Thursday, etc. They would often say that they were 'real' because they wrote songs about 'real relationships' and 'real heartache'. Even the heavier hardcore bands I listened to like Converge could be guilty of that. A huge percentage of the most famous rock and blues songs are about painful and torturous breakups, what were those moppy haired emo goofballs smoking? They thought they came up with that? It just seemed like a dumb flex regarding songwriting.

@marcohavokkhaos I don't know if I'd go as far as to say that... They did have the odd gem here and there on later releases. But in broad conversation, I'd tend to agree with you. After RIOT in '07, the punk emo scene had somewhat peaked in mainstream markets and was on its way out. So, while I can understand their change in direction, I would also say they played their best music in the mid/late 2000s for sure.

While I wasn't really into their later stuff post Riot, Istill have fond memories when I first discovered them back in 2005 with "Pressure" and "Emergency". I can't exactly remember how I came across them, it was probably MySpace or the the Fuse channel back in the day but either way, I did like the sound at the time. "Misery Business" played so much that it's forever burned in my brain and so was "CrushCrushCrush" but around that time, I was kinda losing interest in them mainly because a good few female fronted bands that came out after them were trying to imitate their sound. The whole modern (at the time) "atlternative" sound with a female vocalist using a pop-like voice. Bands like Hey Monday, New Year's Day, VersaEmerge, and Icon For Hire are some that come to mind but either way, I just noticed that a lot of female singers at the time were singing in that "pop" voice and it was just so over saturated. With "Riot", I can see why some didn't really care for it as much as "All We Know IS Falling" because it was a somewhat change in tone, "All We Know" seemed a tad more raw in comparison but for me anyway, "Riot" was passable and even fun at times. Either way, I'm not surprised at Paramore's success, they had just enough publicity and attention to get them out there and their sound was decent and accessible, a good bridge for newcomers of rock-type music with relatable lyrics to those of us who were teens at the time lol.

Its not like they did this because she wanted to make it all about herself. The original self-titled album cover featured Jeremy Davis on it and after all the shitty things he tried to do to sabatoge the band as he left, it makes sense for them to want to remove him from the album art. Please do a video on Fuel. What happened to John Corsale? Dude did a killer album with them and bounced. Toryn Green did a really good album and was gone. So much to tell that we know little about.

Never got into Paramore's music, although the radio tried to convince me otherwise. Even if their brand of emo pop punk didn't do much for me, I'd still take note of when a new album was released. And I enjoyed learning about the band's history.

The story about the kids in Nashville picking on her southern accent made me press X to doubt. Southerners don't usually pick on each other's accents... Unless it is a Cajun Creole accent. Nobody else can understand what the hell they are saying.

Her mom is a 'life coach' for up and coming Disney stars. 😂 .. I get the feeling these people are way more connected than they let on. I doubt their personal history is exactly what they're describing. I could be wrong though. Still like the band and Haley is fine as hell.

Aloha! This was the first vid or yours I've watched. And that's because I just discovered Paramore...yes I know, I've been living under a rock! But I became interested because The Warning are Paramore fans...And I most definitely am a fan of The Warning. So how about a deep dive into The Warning like you did for Paramore? #APDVillaReality

By the way, all of these people bitching about what they make off of their music is getting real old too. If you’re such a bad ass and deserve such compensation, put all your own money up and quit asking other people to front your ventures. Then you can reap all the profits. Until then quit bitching about business, business feeds business that’s how it works wake up.

Kinda what I expected overly produced teeny bopper pop punk-esque .. I could never get into this style of music in the late 90s early 2000s… it’s just not for me . Sound very similar to almost every other band in that genre at the time .

I was in the Icu after a bout of Pericarditis in my early 30s. They scared my mom into the possibility I had a heart attack, and wanting that insurance money talked me into putting a hole in an artery in my leg and running a scope unto my heart to check. They failed to mention that I could bleed out if the patch in my leg gave and I would bleed out in 2-3 minutes, and would be required to stay in the icu for 3 days. so alone in the icu I woke up feeling great after my first night of 3. I turned on the TV and Paramore was on. I instantly fell in love with the song and her energy. Aint it fun is a great song, and felt appropriate for my status at that very moment. I was all alone in that moment.. after dealing with what has been my biggest health scare to date in this big world. I fell right into the song. It just fit me and that moment. For the rest of time .. everytime I hear that song.. it pulls me back to that moment, and for the short time it's on I'm just grateful.. for everything. Life isn't always perfect.. but it's so much better than it's not.
