Wow ! So glad you get to fly so often, this weekend the winds are to high, I was going to do my first flight since rebuilding engine, I'll probably have to wait a whole week, or skip work one nice weather day.

Weather actually hasn't been that cooperative for me either. This flight, on the 10th, was my first flight of 2021, and I think the flight before this was on Dec 26th. It's now the 17th and I haven't been able to fly since the 10th. I hope we both get to fly again soon!

Is Taylorville Airport friendly with paramotor traffic? There have been music venues near their that I have wanted to attend, and considered bringing my paramotor.

Taylorville Airport welcomes paramotor pilots. There was one flight instructor that tried giving us a hard time, saying that we couldn't legally fly there. But we presented all the documented laws proving him wrong. The Airport manager has even asked our group of we would be interested in assisting Search and Rescue when needed. As far as the music venues, it's possible there would be a TFR in place around that area...so it would be wise to check if they did initiate a TFR during the venue. But if not, oh yeah that would be pretty awesome. Great Airport to fly from. Currently myself and two other pilots in the area. You're welcome to join us anytime.

@@sandorrendeczky8549 That's good to hear. My local airport also gave me a little grief about flying there, but I pointed out the FAR 103 poster on the wall and haven't had a issue since. The music venue I was speaking about is a local mud park. TFR's are rarely used for concerts like this. And of course I wouldn't be flying over groups of people or buildings. Thanks for the info.
