The rail ends at the potash facility just west of Moab, so I'm assuming they're going there for a pickup.

I found out what they are hauling. Tailings, which is the leftover byproduct of mining uranium, so yes it's radioactive. And yes, pot ash can come from tailings.

Damn, the lighting on the viaduct was perfect!
@sandorrendeczky854910 ай бұрын
When I was approaching and saw that lighting, it was so majestic it overwhelmed me on multiple levels and thoughts. Flying the Viaduct was even more of an epic experience than I imagined. What a marvel of a structure. It's been over five years since I saw you make that flight, and I finally flew it, man! Thank you, Tucker for showing me this epic location!

Good job!! I use to try to kite my 28mm wing and it jerked me around big time and hurt my bad. Yeah Yeah I know..pussy lol.
@sandorrendeczky8549 Жыл бұрын
LOL Sorry you got hurt that day. I decided to be the harness test dummy, and it did jerk me some. LOL So Greg and I decided to keep it hand kiting today. After a fun amount of kiting the wind did pick up a little more so we called it a day, since we were already on borderline safety kiting in stronger wind.

I remember seeing this on a @tuckergott video reviewing crashes. Ouch that sucked! How much damage did you sustain, and how much was it to fix the goalpost? The whole thing looked expensive.
@sandorrendeczky8549 Жыл бұрын
Surprisingly, the paramotor took just under $1,000 worth of damage. My wing needed around $600 worth of repair, but upon further inspection the porosity tested that it was time to get another wing, anyway. The Goal Post was just over $1,100, and the school was kind enough to allow me to make payments. They asked me to pay it off in 12 months, I paid it off in 10. Very kind and understanding people.

Sorry this happened, but I don't understand your reasoning for not turning, you had plenty of time and space in either direction to avoid it, expensive learning experience.
@sandorrendeczky85492 жыл бұрын
I had allowed myself to get too close to the post before trying to make the quick decision whether or not to turn. You gotta remember with GoPro footage, things appear further away on camera, than in actual real life. I was moving too fast, and still highly doubt I could have made the turn in time.
